Tour Itinerary:
Day 1: To Queen Elizabeth Park: Depart for Queen Elizabeth National Park. En route, you could stop by the Uganda Equator to take pictures or shop for a souvenir at the craft village. After lunch at AgipMotel Mbarara, head for queen Queen Elizabeth National Park . You will have anevening game drive, before final transfer to your accommodations for dinner and overnight. Accomodation: Mweya or Jacana Safari Lodge Meal Plan: Lunch and Dinner Transit Time: 6 Hrs Day 2: Am Game Drive and PM Launch Trip: After an early morning cup of tea, depart for a game drive along the Kasenyi track. You may find watering or hunting cats around Lake Kasenyi , and other game. Later, return for breakfast. In the afternoon, take a launch cruise on the Kazinga channel. This is believed to have the largest concentration of Hippo in Africa , a paradise of local and colorful rare birds. Accomodation: Mweya or Jacana Safari Lodge Meal Plan: B,L,D Transit Time: All Day Activities Day 3: To Bwindi Gorilla Sanctuary: Have a relaxed breakfast, and then transfer to the Mountain Gorilla sanctuary of Bwindi through verdant tea plantations and beautiful terraced mountain scenery also known as the “Swiitzerland of Africa”. Bwindi is one of the few Albertine Rift rainforest remaining in Africa ; it supports 300-350 (Half of the world’s remaining) mountain gorillas. Accomodation: Engagi Lodge or Kitandara Camp Meal Plan: B,L,D Transit Time: 4-5 Hrs Day 4: Gorilla Tracking: Early morning breakfast, travel to the base of the mountain for a briefing before starting the gorilla trek. After picnic lunches and drinks in the forest, an hour with the Gorillas, return to base for dinner and overnight. Accomodation: Engagi Lodge or Kitandara Camp Meal Plan: B,L,D Transit Time: All Day Activity Day 5: Return to Kampala: After breakfast, transfer to Mbarara arriving in time for lunch at the Agip Motel.
