Day 1: Departure to Ngamba Island. Pick up from your overnight accommodation in Kampala and transfer to Entebbe from where you will be transferred by a motorized canoe/speed boat to Ngamba Island. This chimp sanctuary shelters habituated chimps in a semi – natural environment. You will participate in feeding or holding baby chimpanzees or simply view them from a viewing platform. Accomodation: Ngamba Tented Camp. Meal Plan: Lunch and Dinner. Transit Time: 3 Hrs.
Day 2: Forest nature walk. After breakfast, take a forest walk to view the chimps in the natural environment high in the trees or foraging on the ground (Vaccination for Hepatitis A & B, measles and yellow fever are required for this activity) you may also opt for birding on the abundant birdlife in the vicinity of the lodge. After lunch, transfer by speedboat or motorized canoe back to Entebbe. Accommodation: Imperial Botanical Beach Hotel. Meal Plan: B,L,D. Transit Time: 1 Hr.
Day 3: To Murchison Falls, top of the falls. Morning departure for Murchison falls National Park. Have lunch at the spectacular top of the falls where you will experience the thundering River Nile as it is forced through a seven Metre crevice to thunder 45 metres below in a series of cascades. Accommodation: Nile Safari Camp or Sambiya River Lodge. Meal Plan: B,L,D. Transit Time: 5-6 Hrs.
Day 4: Chimpanzee trekking. Transfer to the Rabongo forest for a half-day primate tracking the primates - Black and white colobus monkey; Red tailed monkey, Baboon, Grey cheeked mangabeys or the chimpanzee. Return to the lodge for lunch. Have the afternoon at leisure. Accommodation: Nile Safari Camp or Sambiya River Lodge. Meal Plan: B,L,D.
Day 5: To Kibale Forest. Travel to Fort Portal with picnic lunches. Dinner and overnight at the Ndali Lodge or Mantana Kibale Luxury Tented Camp. Meal Plan - FB. Transit time 6-8 hours. Accommodation: Ndali Lodge. Meal Plan: B,L,D. Transit Time: 6 Hrs.
Day 6: Primate trekking, to Queen Elizabeth Park. Morning breakfast, then transfer to the Kibale forest; Dark and mysterious with delightful chattering cast of Primates; which include the Chimpanzee as well as the threatened Red Colobus monkey, Grey cheeked Mangabeys and over 335 bird species. After lunch, depart for Queen Elizabeth National Park. Heading through the bottom of the East African Rift valley arriving for an evening game drive, transfer to your accommodations for dinner and overnight. Accommodation: Jacana or Mweya Safari Lodge. Meal Plan: B,L,D. Transit Time: 2 Hrs.
Day 7: Chimpanzee Trekking. After breakfast, with a game ranger transfer to the Kyambura Gorge which is a host to wild chimpanzees. Return to the lodge in time for lunch. In the afternoon, you may opt for a leisurely launch cruise on the Kazinga channel. This is believed to have the largest concentration of Hippo in Africa and paradise of colourful birds. Accomodation: Jacana or Mweya Safari Lodge. Meal Plan: B,L,D.
Day 8: Ishasha Lions, to Bwindi. Breakfast and transfer with picnic lunch to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park via Ishasha; the area famous for its tree climbing lions. Bwindi is one of the few Albertine Rift rainforest remaining in Africa supporting Half the world’s remaining mountain gorillas. An encounter with a Gorilla family is one of the most humbling, thrilling and memorable experiences. In the afternoon, take a self guided walk around the camp or the Munyanga River. Accomodation: Kitandara Camp or Engagi Lodge. Meal Plan: B,L,D. Transit Time: 4-5 Hrs.
Day 9: Gorilla Trekking. Early morning breakfast, travel to the base of the mountain for a briefing before starting the gorilla trek. After picnic lunches and drinks in the forest, an hour with a Gorilla family, return to base for dinner and overnight. Accommodation: Kitandara Camp or Engagi Lodge. Meal Plan: B,L,D. Transit Time: All Day's Activities.
Day 10: Return to Kampala/Entebbe. After breakfast, transfer to Mbarara for lunch. Later head for Kampala. Meal Plan: Breakfast and Lunch
