Our first one being Lake Kanyaboli, the only oxbow lake in Kenya. The surrounding has some grand views of the expansive Yala Swamp which is also a habitat for rare and endemic bird species like the Blue-Breasted Bee Eater, the Papyrus Gonolek, the Swamp Flycatcher, the Papyrus Canary, the White Winged Warbler, the Great Snipe and much more.

Driving across the dyke we will cross the equator again this time on our way to Ramogi Hills. This is where Luos first settled after migrating from the Nile Valley in Sudan.
