Day 1: Depart Nairobi for Shaba Game Reserve arriving here in time for lunch time. Shaba is described as a spectacular lost paradise. The glories of nature are concentrated here alongside thatched roofed cottages which are tastefully furnished with local stone and timber. Add to the luxurious yet wild image. Shaba is an ornithological paradise where over 300 different species of birds. There is a viewing deck above the river, where one can spot the birds or watch the crocodiles clamber onto the sandbank. Dinner and overnight at the lodge. Day 2: After breakfast, leave for a game drive in Shaba Game Reserve. It is set in the hostile severe bush land of the hot and arid fringes of northern region. Shaba Reserve hosts a variety of wildlife such as buffalos, elephants, cheetahs, lions and leopards. The Somali Ostrich. Gerenuk, Beisa Oryx, Crevy Zebra and Reticulated Giraffe are some of the rare animals found only in Shaba. All meals and overnight at the lodge. Day 3: Depart from Shaba after breakfast for Lake Nakuru which is also known as the greatest ornithological spectacles. The Pan¬oramic view from the view point reveals a shimmering pink glow across the lake, created by millions of flamingos, pelicans and many other birds. All meals and overnight stay at the lodge. Day 4: Lake Nakuru - Lake Naivasha. This morning we will leave Lake Nakuru for the cool shore of Lake Naivasha. This lake is known for its numerous birds and hippos population. We will have a guided walking tour in the Crater Lake game sanctuary in the afternoon and this will bring us very close to giraffes, zebras, impalas and many more wildlife. Dinner and overnight at the lodge or camp. Day 5: Lake Naivasha - Masai Mara. We will this morning leave Lake Naivasha heading southeast, passing dormant volcano Longonot on our way, arriving in time for lunch at Masai Mara. After lunch have some time to relax before departing on an afternoon game drive. Return to the lodge before sunset for dinner and overnight. Day 6: An early wake up call for breakfast to be followed by a full day game drive in search of more wildlife and birds of the Mara. This absolute exploration will lead us all the way to the River of Life and Death, the Mara River while we sample various wildlife en route. Down by the river, we will see hippos and crocodiles basking lazily on the river banks. You have an opportunity to go for an optional extra guided nature trail walk. We will have a picnic lunch while we enjoy the cool atmosphere of riverbanks. After lunch we will drive appreciating more wildlife and sceneries on our way back to the camp/lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
