Day 1: Nairobi - Aberdares. Leave Nairobi for The Ark or similar lodge. The Ark is situated in the Aberdare National Park, deep in the mountain. This unique lodge resembles a ship; overlooking a floodlit waterhole and salt lick which is visited by a variety of animals. Often seen here are the elephant, rhino and bushbuck. Occasionally a leopard or giant forest hog may be seen. Before driving to The Ark, lunch is taken at The Aberdare Country Club. Dinner and breakfast at The Ark or similar lodge.
Day 2: Aberdares - Samburu. Leave The Ark after breakfast for Samburu passing through Isiolo. Our arrival here is in time for lunch. Samburu is an open savannah plain and in the vicinity of the River Uaso Nyiro. The Dik Dik, Rhino, Buffalo, Elephants, Cheetah, Leopard and Lion are all to be seen here. Unique to this area are the Reticulated Giraffe, Grevy's Zebra, the long necked Gerenuk and the Beisa Oryx, of course not forgetting Hippos and Crocodiles in the river and a hundred different species of birds including the Somali Ostrich. Dinner and overnight at your lodge or in camp.
Day 3: Samburu Game Reserve. Full day game drive in Samburu game reserve in search of more wildlife. All meals and accommodation to be served at the lodge or camp.
Day 4: Samburu - Lake Nakuru. This morning we will leave Samburum for Lake Nakuru. Lake Nakuru is famous for ints pink-carpeted shoreline with flamingos and other lots of birds. It is also a safe sanctuary for both the black and white rhinos without forgetting the big 4 and other wildlife. We will arrive here in the afternoon and we will enjoy our game drive here on our way to the lodge for the night and dinner.
Day 5: Lake Nakuru - Lake Naivasha. This morning we will leave Lake Nakuru for the cool shore of Lake Naivasha. This lake is known for its numerous birds and hippos population. We will have a guided walking tour in the Crater Lake game sanctuary in the afternoon and this will bring us very close to giraffes, zebras, impalas and many more wildlife. Dinner and overnight at the lodge or camp.
Day 6: Lake Naivasha - Masai Mara. We will this morning leave Lake Naivasha heading southeast, passing dormant volcano Longonot on our way, arriving in time for lunch at Masai Mara. After lunch have some time to relax before departing on an afternoon game drive. Return to the lodge before sunset for dinner and overnight.
Day 7: Maasai Mara. An early wake up call for breakfast to be followed by a full day game drive in search of more wildlife and birds of the Mara. This absolute exploration will lead us all the way to the River of Life and Death, the Mara River while we sample various wildlife en route. Down by the river, we will see hippos and crocodiles basking lazily on the river banks. You have an opportunity to go for an optional extra guided nature trail walk. We will have a picnic lunch while we enjoy the cool atmosphere of riverbanks. After lunch we will drive appreciating more wildlife and sceneries on our way back to the camp/lodge for dinner and an overnight stay. Depart for Nairobi after breakfast, arrival by lunch time.
Day 8: Maasai Mara - Amboseli National Park. After breakfast, we will leave Maasai Mara for a long drive to Amboseli National Park, located at the foot of Africa's highest mountain. Arrive at your lodge in time for lunch and later proceed for an afternoon game viewing drive returning in the evening for overnight. Back to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 9: Amboseli National Park. Full day in the Amboseli National Park with two game drives. You drive through across this vast lake bed, often dry but swampy in some areas. We have a lot of game here like cheetah, buffalo, giraffe, gazelles and herds of elephants all set against the amazing back drop of majestic Mount Kilimanjaro showing all its glory. Back to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 10: Depart after breakfast, reaching Nairobi by lunch time.
