Ston is a small medieval town with the longest stone wall in Europe (5,5km). It is situated on Peljesac Peninsula in Dubrovnik region of Croatia. You will be thrilled by the beautiful beaches and breathtaking landscapes that surround the town, quiet narrow streets, traditional houses and traces of ancient cultures. Peljesac is known for being a real oasis of peace, with its hidden beaches, salt farms, fertile fields, vineyards and some of the best wine in the world. We will explore it sea kayaking, snorkeling and walking/hiking. There will be time for river canoeing/kayaking in Herzegovina and visiting Mostar town, discovering Mljet Island National Park, Kolocep Island and Dubrovnik – the most beautiful town in Croatia and the Mediterranean.
Tour Itinerary: Day 1, Sat: Arrival in Dubrovnik and transfer to Ston Arrival in Dubrovnik, Croatia. A guide will be waiting for you at Dubrovnik airport, port or bus station. Transfer to Ston. After settling into your room you can walk around the town or just relax on a restaurant terrace. Meet the other members of the group over dinner and discuss the upcoming holiday with your guide. Day 2, Sun: Sea kayaking to Kobas and snorkeling Kobas is a famous sailor's retreat on Peljesac Peninsula. It is a bay with a sandy beach and a lovely marina. Just a few yachts around, several shacks of (great) casual fish restaurants, and best of all ... peace and quiet. We will explore the bay in our sea kayaks and snorkeling. Day 3, Mon: Sea kayaking Mali Ston and snorkeling Sea kayaking in Mali Ston ("Little Ston") which is famous for the cultivation of oysters and oyster specialities. The bay is warm and shallow, ideal for snorkeling and exploring the underwater world. Day 4, Tue: Canoeing / kayaking Trebizat River and Mostar. Today's adventure takes us to the most exciting karst areas of Herzegovina. We will enjoy a trip on the narrow Trebizat River, surrounded by lush forests teeming with birds and the stunningly beautiful karst landscape that has been formed by the river for thousands of years. A traditional lunch will be followed by a visit of Mostar, the cultural and economic center of Herzegovina. Return to Croatia. Day 5, Wed: Mljet Island National Park sea kayaking The northern part of the island is covered with dense, green forest. Mljet Island National Park has two beautiful salt water lakes, one with a 14th century monastery on a tiny island. We will explore them on foot, sea kayaking and swimming in the warm waters of the lakes. There will be time for a fresh seafood lunch in a fisherman's village Day 6, Thu:Kolocep island sea kayaking, sailing and Dubrovnik sightseeing Sea kayaking around Kolocep, one of the Elafiti Islands and the best sea kayaking island in the Adriatic. Kolocep is extremely interesting for its dramatic scenery with hidden dark caves, high cliffs and colorful reefs. In the afternoon we will visit Dubrovnik, the most beautiful of all Mediterranean towns. There will be time for sightseeing, shopping in ancient streets, walking along the old city walls… Ice cream or coffee taste best in open air bistros along Stradun, the Old Town's main street and promenade. Day 7, Fri: Optional trip to Korcula island or scuba diving in Zuljana Today you can be as active or as lazy as you wish. You can relax at the beach, swim or take an optional excursion - scuba diving in Zuljana Bay on Peljesac or visit Korcula island. Day 8, Sat: Departure day Depart from Dubrovnik for the airport and flight home. You are welcome to schedule your homeward transport for any time.
