Day 1: Arrival Day. Depending on your flight arrival time, start with Kigungu landing site (first missionary church in Uganda), Muzinga Square, (former colonial British monument which portrays the heavy artilleries that the British used during the colonial time), Entebbe Zamugula site, Uganda wild Life Education Centre.
Relax for lunch break and continue to Bemba cave in Ziika Ecotourism Forest. Transfer to Kampala city for overnight at either Serena Hotel (High end/luxurious accommodation), Grand Imperial Hotel (Medium class accommodation) or Fairway Hotel (low Budget accommodation).
Day 2: Kampala Cultural Tour. After breakfast, start with Kasubi tombs royal burial grounds for Buganda Traditional Kings (Kabaka a title given to the traditional kings of Buganda Kingdom), Rubaga and Namirembe old missionary churches, Kabaka's Lake. Lunch break at leisure. After lunch proceed to Naggalabi coronation site, where Buganda kings have been crowned for the past 700 years.
Visit Katereke Prision ditch (the ditch was dug by Kabaka Kalema in the late 19th century for punishing his disobedient subjects. It is an attractive site comprising of a circular ditch enclosing an area of about 70 meters in diameter). Overnight at either Serena Hotel (High end/luxurious accommodation), Grand Imperial Hotel (Medium class accommodation) or Fare way Hotel (low Budget accommodation).
Day 3: Kampala Cultural Tour Continues. After breakfast, drive to Uganda Museum which gives you a display of Uganda's cultural heritage where one can see ethnological and natural historical exhibitions. It's also a vivid reminder of the country's colorful past experience. Proceed to Makerere University the oldest in East Africa. Look at the university's Ivory tower, main building and the main library which were constructed during the colonial period.
Lunch break at leisure. After lunch transfer to the unique beautiful Bahai temple the only one in Africa. Visit Namugongo Uganda Marty's shrine a place where very many Christian converts were burnt to death on 3rd June 1886 by Kabaka Mwanga due their faith in Jesus Christ. Overnight at either Serena Hotel (High end/luxurious accommodation), Grand Imperial Hotel (Medium class accommodation) or Fare way Hotel (low Budget accommodation).
Day 4: Cultural Entertainment. After breakfast, drive to Ndere troupe centre for the whole day to be entertained by Ndere cultural dancing group. You too might be requested to participate and the best is given an award. Overnight at the Hotel.
Day 5: Kampala - Jinja. Depart Kampala for Jinja enroute a stop over at Sezibwa cultural site, nature walk in Mabira forest. Lunch break in Jinja town, visit the source of the Nile and participate in boat riding, swimming and sight seeing. Transfer to Bujjagali cultural site to see the spectacular Bujjagali falls. Return to Kampala for dinner and overnight. Approximate driving time is 2 - 3 hours.
Day 6: Kampala - Hoima. After breakfast, start the journey to Hoima via Kiboga district, have a brief stop at Mparu tombs before reaching Hoima town. Mparu tombs are royal burial grounds for Bunyoro traditional kings; this place is famous known in Bunyoro kingdom because it was chosen by Omukama (King) Kabalega to be his capital in 1872. Overnight at either Koloping house (high end classic accommodation) or African Village Guest Farm. Approximate driving time is 5-6 hours.
Day 7: Hoima Cultural Tour. After breakfast, Visit Bujumbura Cathedral, Duhaga cathedral, Katasiha Fort and Karuzika palace (Bunyoro Kingdom palace). Lunch break at your hotel. After lunch break you will be entertained by Entogoro cultural dancing group. Overnight at the hotel
Day 8: Hoima - Fort Portal Town. Transfer to Fort Portal town. Dinner and overnight at either Mountains of the moon Hotel (high end Classic accommodation), or Rwenzori guest view (low budget accommodation). Approximate driving time is 7 - 8 hours.
Day 9: Fort Portal Cultural Adventure. Early morning, visit the Toro kingdom palace and Karambi tombs. The palace is built on famous Kabarole hill over looking the beautiful historical Fortportal town. Relax for lunch at your Hotel. In the afternoon drive to the historical sites of Amabere anyimnawiru caves and have a magnificent view of Saaka crater lakes. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
Day 10: Fort Portal - Queen Elizabeth Park. Drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park, having a game drive on entering the park. Expect to see lions, Leopards, Hyenas, Buffalos, Elephants and bird species, visit Lake Katwe salt mining and see how salt is locally mined. Lunch break at Mweya safari lodge. In the afternoon go for a launch cruise on Kazinga channel which joins Lake Edward and George, it gives you an opportunity to spot Crocodiles, Hippos, and water bird species. Overnight at either Mweya Safari Lodge, Jacana Lodge, King Fisher Lodge (high end classic accommodation) or the Institute of Ecology (low budget accommodation).
Day 11: Queen Elizabeth National Park. Start with the neighbouring communities around katunguru gate and Rutoto primary school. Continue to kyambura gorge for chimpanzee tracking. Expect to species birds such as Rwenzori Turaco. Overnight at either Mweya Safari Lodge, Jacana Lodge, King Fisher Lodge (high end classic accommodation) or the Institute of Ecology Hostel (low budget accommodation).
Day 12: Bunyaruguru Cultural Experience. Morning game drive to the northern part of the park, expect to see lions, leopards, Buffalos, Elephants, Antelopes etc. connect to Bunyaruguru area where you may participate in different cultural activities that are performed by the different women cultural groups, such as dancing, peeling of bananas. Visit Kitagata hot spring and Nyamunuka craters. Dinner and overnight at either Mweya Safari Lodge (high end classic accommodation) or the institute of ecology (low budget accommodation).
Day 13: Queen Elizabeth - Kabale. Start on the journey to Kabale district (the Switzerland of Uganda) via Kanungu districts, visit the Kibwetere religious cultural site. Where massive killings of Kibwetere followers took place. To day it acts as both cultural and religious site. Overnight at either Kabale white Horse Inn (high end classic accommodation).
Day 14: Kabale. After breakfast, visit Kabale museum, to get exposed to Bakiga culture. Continue to Rugarama and Rusoroza old missionary cathedral. Relax over a drink at the hotel and drive to Lake Bunyonyi for boat riding, hill climbing and sight seeing, visit Edirisa organization for swimming activities. Lake Bunyonyi is a lava dammed lake surrounded by many hills, the word Bunyonyi means a place of very many little birds. Overnight at the Hotel.
Day 15: Kabale - Mbarara. After breakfast, leave for Mbarara driving through the terraced hills of Kabale district the Switzerland of Uganda, visit the Omugabe Lake, omugabe palace and Ankole ranches. Take time to learn more about the Bahima culture who are cattle keepers. Omugabe is a title given to local tradition kings of Ankole kingdom. Overnight at the Lake view Hotel.
Day 16: Mbarara - Kampala. In the morning after breakfast, return to Kampala via lake Mburo national park expect to see Zebras, buffalos, elephants, Warthogs, Antelopes etc. proceed to with your return journey having a brief stop at Mpambire drum village and Equator line for photos and souvenirs. Dinner and overnight at either Serena Hotel (High end/luxurious accommodation), Grand Imperial Hotel (Medium class accommodation) or Fare way Hotel (low Budget accommodation).
Day 17: Departure Day, Tour Ends. After breakfast, take Kampala city tour and then transfer to Entebbe International Airport depending on your flight departure time.
