Day 1: Uganda Wildlife Education center. The birding experience starts in the morning and by the end of the day, you shall have met a big number of the 170 species of wild birds living in the Uganda Wildlife Education center. Here, expect to see the the Shoebill and the African Fish eagle in captivity, and the Giant Kingfisher, Swamp Flycatcher, Broad-billed Roller, Black-and-white Casqued Hornbill, Splendid Starling, Olive-bellied Sunbird, Orange Weaver, Vulturine and African Fish Eagle, Verreaux's Eagle-owl, Red-chested Sunbird, Ross's Turaco, Pied Hornbill, Crowned Hornbill, Open-billed Stork, Great Reed Warbler, Grey-caped Warbler, Sedge Warblers, the rare Northern Masked Weaver along with the Golden Backed, Black Necked, Northern Brown Throated, Grosbeak, different races of the Baglafecht Weavers, a number of flycatcher species such as the Black-and-white Shrike-flycatcher, Lead colored, Pale Flycatcher, Red-bellied Paradise-flycatcher, African-paradise flycatcher, African Blue Flycatcher, just to mention but a few in the wild. Birding here will get you into seeing several animals in the Zoo for example: Lions, White Rhino, Leopard, Buffalo, Chimpanzee, Red-colobus Monkey, and the world's tallest animal, the Giraffe.
