Day 2: Monrovia Historical Tour. After breakfast go on a Tour of Monrovia; highlights will include the remnants of Ducor Hotel, the highest point in Monrovia where the first lighthouse of Liberia, and the Joseph Jenkins Roberts monument. You will also visit the monument dedicated to Liberia’s most popular President William V.S. Tubman also known as "The Father of Modern Liberia" and finally, Providence Baptist Church which is Liberia’s oldest church, built in the 18th Century where the Liberian Declaration of Independence was signed. Day 3: Firestone Rubber Plantation & Jola House Women's Social Enterprise. After breakfast, tour Firestone Rubber Plantation, the largest rubber plantation in the world, built in 1926.Afterwards drive through some of Liberia’s Old Towns; “Congo” including Bensonville, Crozierville, Dennisville, and Careysburg. In the afternoon, visit the Jola House Women’s Social Enterprise see Artisans who have become self sufficient by creating and designing furniture and gift items. Meal(s) Included: Breakfast, Lunch. Day 4: Gbarnga - Kpatawee Waterfalls. After breakfast drive to Gbarnga in Bong County and visit some Tribal villages to learn about the cultural history and archaeological imprint of these tribes. Afterwards visit the Kpatawee Waterfalls which are covered by a lush canopy. Enjoy your afternoon at leisure or trek along the falls. Meal(s) Included: Breakfast, Lunch. Day 5: Roberts Port. After breakfast drive to the town of Roberts Port along the Sierra Leone border. In the early 19th century, African American freed slaves settled in this Region and despite Liberia’s political unrest Roberts’ Port has remained structurally intact. The town's architecture includes plantation-style houses, reminiscent of the Southern United States and a historical influence on Liberia’s Culture. Fishing and rice farming are the Robert's Port main economy. The Town was featured in the independent documentary film, "Sliding Liberia", which follows four young surfers to war-torn Liberia in search of perfect waves. Day 6: African Village Experience. After breakfast, enjoy a drive through the Liberian countryside to visit the Bai T. Moore Village in Bomi County for a unique look into village life. Learn about the history and cultural heritage of one of Liberia’s most prominent writers Bai T. Moore, while listening to selected readings from his poetry and his most famous story, a Liberian Romeo and Juliet story, Murder in the Cassava Patch. Take a short tour of the village and enjoy an entertaining cultural dance and drum performance.

Day 7: Monrovia. After breakfast, go on a tour of the Waterside Market. Visit the booths of local artisans to shop for souvenirs, African artifacts and carvings. Day 8: Monrovia. Depart. After breakfast, transfer to the airport for onward flight. Meal(s) Included: Breakfast.
