Cavas - The Spanish name for wine cellars and also the name given to the sparkling wine produced in them. We will visit one of these cellars with full explanations of the wine-making process and, of course, plenty of tasting of the final product. Later we will go for a typical meal in a restaurant near the Cavas.
Costa Brava - Home to the nicest beaches in Spain and a pioneering region for promoting tourism. We can take a walk along one of the Calas (small beaches) and an excursion in a glass bottom boat.
Sitges - A charming coastal village 30 km. away from the city. It is home to one of the most popular modernist painters, S. Rusinyol and his “Cau Ferrat” museum.
Castles Route - 100 km. from Barcelona, in a frontier land disputed for centuries between the Arab empire (Al-Andalus) and the Christians in X , XI and XII centuries. The medieval castles are well preserved and can be visited. This is a precious way to understand the way of living on those times. More info
