Your adventure travel tour begins with a brief orientation by your group's personal adventure coordinator, and then its off to the San Diego harbor where you will find yourself driving a Speed Boat! After your brief instruction on how to operate your boat, zip across the bay and get an up-close and personal look at the local California sea lions, nuclear submarines, downtown skyline, and more. A professionally trained guide narrates your maritime adventure and provides instruction through an on-board radio system. Between the sights, the speed, and the banked S-turns, this is the most thrilling way to check out the bay! Then, its a quick drive up the coast, where we arrive at the Carlsbad Lagoon where you can try your hand at waterskiing, wakeboarding, or tubing! Taught by experienced instructors, enjoy the rush of learning these amazing aquatic sports or hang on for the ultimate extreme ride while tubing behind a speed boat. This is one adventure experience you are not soon to forget! Sunday - Glider Planes and Offroad Desert Exploration The next morning, we head through the mountains to try your hand at flying a glider plane. After a brief training on the ground, you and an FAA commercial pilot will be towed in a sailplane several thousand feet above the mountains, where you will then pull the tow cord and let your plane effortlessly soar above the mountains and valley. For a truly Heart-Pounding experience, you can take the controls and try flying the plane yourself (if you so choose) no experience necessary! From takeoff to landing, this is one adventure to remember. We then pass through the mountians to the Anza Borrego Desert, where we will transfer to military-style vehicles for Offroad Desert Exploration. Find yourself surrounded by remote and breathtaking views of the desert that most of the locals never even find. Of course, your desert excursion will include driving through some rugged off-road terrain, a bit of desert hiking, lots of water, and some truly amazing scenery. This is a whole new side to Southern California, and for the true adventurer is not to be missed! The Extras!
