Tour Itinerary:
Day 1: Buenos Aires (In) Upon arrival in Buenos Aires, you will be taken to your comfortable hotel. The city offers different activities to enjoy during your first day. We also recommend trying some local restaurants where you will find a variety of cuisine styles ranging from the great parrilla (BBQ) and pastas to Mexican, vegetarian and more exotic options. Day 2: Buenos Aires – Iguazu At appropriate time will be taken to the airport for your flight to Iguazu.Upon arrival in Puerto Iguazu, you will be taken to your selected hotel. Time at leisure to enjoy the swimming pool or facilities at the hotel/hostel selected. Day 3: Iguazu Falls After breakfast, you will leave for a full day private excursion with an English speaking guide to the Argentine side of the Iguazu Falls. You will be guided around the several paths inside the National Park and have many opportunities to enjoy the incredible views of the more than 200 waterfalls. At noon, you will have free time for lunch and the chance to take the optional Great Adventure navigation tour which takes you for a ride around the falls. The boat even stays for a while almost underneath a fall! In the afternoon, you will board the train that leads you to the greatest fall in the park: the Devil's Throat. Return to the hotel in the late afternoon. Day 4: Iguazu – Mendoza Upon arrival in Mendoza, you will be taken to the selected wine lodge, posada or B&B. Rest of the day at leisure to enjoy the area and your accommodation Day 5: Mendoza- Alta Montana Breakfast at your hotel. Leaving Mendoza early in the morning, we will take the national road N°7 in direction north-west which will lead us along Mendoza´s most famous spots, passing distinct wineries, vineyards and the area´s spectacular highlands. Once having arrived at Horcones, the main entry to the National Park Aconcagua, we will undertake a short trekking to the Horcones lagoon. Finally, we will start our return to the city of Mendoza. During the tour we will get to know Villa Potrerillos and its imposing barrier lake, Mendoza´s cradle of water sports. We will furthermore visit the energetic village of Uspallata before following the historical path of the Liberty Army of the Andes in Picheuta, los Cascos Abobedados and Punta de Vacas. Travelling further, we will pass the Ski Centre Los Penitentes; the natural reserve Puente del Inca where you may observe some of the local handicrafts, and finally, Horcones, the main entry to the Aconcagua Park and South America´s highest Mountain, the majestic Aconcagua (6962m). Night in Mendoza. Day 6: Wine tour Lujan de Cuyo After breakfast we pick up the passengers from the hotel to start the wine tour.This is a semi-private tour (minimum 2 up to 8 people) but could be done in private for an additional cost. We visit 3 wineries located in Luján de Cuyo or Maipú. The first winery we visit is Catena Zapata located in Agrelo area. The passengers will be able to see a big wine producer and their vineyard. De Cero is going to be our next winery to be visited and where we will have the gourmet lunch. It is a 5 steps lunch with 5 different wines. After lunch we will visit the last winery Achaval Ferrer. This is a very boutique small winery that makes only Premium wines. It is also located in Perdriel next to Mendoza River with a very nice view of their vineyards and the panoramic view of El Plata range in the back.Wine tasting is included in every winery. Note: wineries are subject to change and availability. If you would like to visit specific wineries please let us know and we will do our best to accommodate it if we can. Day 7: Mendoza -Buenos Aires Upon arrival in Buenos Aires, you will be taken to your comfortable hotel. We are proposing for you and the girls to stay in a different area (like PUERTO MADERO or RECOLETA) even for a night so you can experience other areas of the city. Day 8: City tour and tango show. Breakfast. Enjoy our morning half-day City Tour that will provide you with a general view of the city and its attractions. During about three hours you will be able to visit Retiro, Palermo, 9th of July Avenue, the Colon Opera House and the Obelisk, Downtown (the Congress, the Mayo Square, Mayo Avenue, Government House), Puerto Madero and San Telmo with stops in Recoleta with its famous cemetery and Francia Square and La Boca with the colorful Caminito. Note. Optional walking tours are available upon request. At night get optional dinner & tango show. Day 9: Buenos Aires Day at leisure Day 10 : Buenos Aires (out) Breakfast. At appropriate time you will be transferred to the international airport to take your flight back home. Additional Notes. Suggested optional excursions /trips: - For the more active and adventurous there is a 3-4 hour bicycle tour of Buenos Aires - Take a night or day navigation excursion of the Rio de la Plata and enjoy panorama of the city from the water. - Since Buenos Aires is a central departure point for different Argentine destinations we suggest you leave a block of time for the visit to the city for the end of your trip or in between other excursions thus maximizing the enjoyment of the activities the city has to offer. - Excursion to Puerto De Frutos and Tigre.
