Hop in a cyclo to explore Phnom Penh. Head to the lively riverfront area for a sunset cruise, later dining at one of Phnom Penh’s top restaurants. Drive to Siem Reap, the perfect base from which to explore the temples of Angkor. Board a Microlight and go on an amazing aerial tour of Angkor Wat, said to symbolize the soul of the Khmer people.
Toast the sunset with a glass of champagne as the temple is illuminated by the setting sun’s golden rays. See Ta Phrom temple, twined with incredible tree-roots. Next, head to the ancient city of Angkor Thom. Dinner this evening includes a traditional Khmer dance performance. Go to the largest freshwater lake in Southeast Asia and enjoy a picnic lunch in a local house built on the lake. See the gem of Angkor, Banteay Srey, and visit the Landmine Museum. In the morning, further explore the countryside and see everyday Cambodian life; from water buffaloes bathing and oxen pulling carts to farmers working in their fields and children cycling to school.
