Adventure Northern Sumatra by 4X4 jeep, canoe, bamboo raft and on foot. White water raft a day down the Wampu River and visit local schools and villages, immersing yourself in Sumatra’s culture.

Tour Medan with your guide, seeing a 19th century Sultan’s Palace; and one of the most beautiful mosques in Indonesia. Meet a Sumatran Elephant and go on a ride through the jungle. Board a 4X4 jeep and drive through thick jungle to cacao, rubber and oil-palm plantations; then to a local school. Enjoy a whole day of white water rafting; as your raft floats downstream, over rapids and under waterfalls. Go on a journey to see the Sumatran Orangutan in its natural habitat and trek to see them enjoying their breakfast.

Drive on to Brastagi; home to a people with many unique traditions which they still practice today. Visit a nearby traditional village to learn more. See a beautiful waterfall, formed by an underground river. Boat across a volcanic lake surrounded by volcanic walls; to an island hotel in the middle of the lake.

Cruise along the lake to local villages and see the tombs of Sidabutar Kings. Your last stop is Simanindo, where you’ll visit the museum and also see a performance of traditional Batak Toba dance, known as ‘Tor-tor’.
