Tour Itinerary:

Day 1. Your private driver will be waiting for you at the Buenos Aires Ezeiza airport upon your arrival and transfer you to your hotel located in the historic center of town only a block from the famous Plaza de Mayo. Buenos Aires also known as the "Paris of the Americas" is a modern metropolis with something for everyone. Discover the museums, theaters, historical areas and of course the districts of La Boca, Recoleta, and San Telmo.

After exploring, it's time for tonight's Tango Dinner Show at The Piazolla. Enjoy fine local wines, fine dining, and a spectacular performance by some of the finest Tango performers in the world!

Day 2. Today we head to the Argentine countryside where we'll meet the cowboys of Argentina and spend the day at a traditional ranch 'estancia'. Visitors to the Ombú Estancia may explore the beautiful 750 acre ranch in 3 unique fashions.

Head to the stables and select from among 38 beautiful horses to ride for the day on a guided horseback tour. Horse drawn carriages were a popular form of transportation for the guachos, jump aboard and your driver will take you for a tour while you enjoy a tall glass of Malbec. Bird lovers are provided with binoculars and a guidebook to aid in their discovery of the 1,000's of native bird species. Around noon enjoy a delicious Argentine-style barbecue lunch served with fine local wines. We'll return to the city and our hotel in Buenos Aires in the evening.

Day 3. Today is the day! Upon arrival to the airport in Puerto Iguazu you'll be met by your private guide for a tour of the Brazilian side of the falls. Words cannot describe the feeling experienced standing alongside the mighty Iguazu Falls.

Iguazu is comprised of 275 individual cascades spanning over 1.90 miles and reaching 260 ft. high. We will walk along the main trail (one mile) on a catwalk that spans above the lower Iguazu River and which provides amazing views of the various falls that comprise the Devil's Throat. We continue onward boarding an all glass elevator for a ride to the observation deck with spectacular panoramic views of the upper falls.

Following the falls tour we will head to the famous Parque de Aves where you will have the opportunity to not just observe but actually enter the cages and interact with a variety of tropical bird species. Travelers may take an optional Helicopter Ride over the falls $115.

Day 4. We enter the park and board a small train that will take us on a tour through the park, making 2 stops along the way to enjoy the falls from different angles and vantage points. We will follow the pathways to the top of the waterfalls where we are encountered with spectacularly unique views. Here we experience a truly magical atmosphere alongside the crashing falls and surrounded by orchids, colorful birds and other wildlife. The highlight of the tour is a visit to the suspended platform at the very brink of the Garganta do Diabo the largest falls in the park.

After the guided tour you have the options of taking The Great Adventure Tour or one of two hikes around the park, the Lower (1hr) or Higher Circuit (2hr).

The Great Adventure Tour - Board semi-rigid zodiac boats getting very close to the powerful San Martin waterfall, the largest waterfall any motor-boat can approach safely. Continue down the river rapids arriving to Puerto Macuco (two miles from the falls). Then, you will ride in an open jeep along the rain forest, observing the local flora and fauna.

Day 5. Following breakfast you will be transfered to the IGU airport for your flight (included) to the most populous city in South America, Sao Paolo. You will be met at the airport and begin your 6hr drive to Paraty a quaint colonial town and UNESCO World Heritage site. Paraty, located on costa verde is a favorite destination for Brazilians and visitors alike. Take this evening to explore the beautiful churches, beautiful beaches, and the tranquil cobblestone streets where cars have been prohibited to preserve the town's colonial ambiance.

Day 6. Today you will be traveling the rugged jungle roads of the Serra da Bocaina in fully equipped jeeps in search of the areas most unique attractions. Our first stop is the Pedra Branca waterfall, great for swimming or enjoying a cool drink at the bar which overlooks the beautiful cascade. Next we'll visit the Murycana Farm which has been preserved since its construction in the 17th century We then head to the Toboga falls where you can dive, slide, or surf down a natural 60 ft rock slide. Close by is Tarzan falls visitors launch themselves into the deep pools from a high flying rope swing. After a day of fun in the sun we visit the ngenho d’Ouro distillery to sample the popular national liquor of Brazil, Cachaça. Our tour ends with an exhibition of over 300 bromeliad species.

Day 7. Following breakfast you will be met by your guide who will be taking you on a city tour of the historical center of Paraty. Learn of the legends and history of this colonial pirate town where during high tide the ocean water actually washes up into the cobble stone streets. You're guide will be taking you to visit the most important churches, museums, and colonial houses of the city.

Enjoy a fresh seafood lunch washed down by a cold brew before heading to the Angra dos Reis port to catch our boat to the island paradise of llha Grande. This evening is at your leisure to enjoy the laid back island life.

Day 8. The entire island of llha Grande is a protected area and a hot spot for biodiversity, home to numerous endangered animals. This magical destination is one of the few places in the world where visitors can observe penguins and whales swimming among tropical fish and coral reefs.

Today is free of planned activities. Enjoy your favorite cocktail relaxing at one of many picturesque beaches or bathing in the warm waters of this protected island paradise. Other options include various boat and hiking tours to secluded beaches and lagoons nearby, jungle hikes to hidden waterfalls, kayaking, fishing, surfing and birdwatching tours.

Day 9. This morning is at your leisure, enjoy the beaches or explore the small town of Abraão. Following lunch we will return to land by boat and then head to Rio via shuttle bus arriving in the afternoon.

A beautiful drive takes us up Brazil's beautiful coast passing through jungle, beaches, and small towns before arriving to the most visited city in the southern hemisphere Rio de Janero. This evening you are free to take a walk to the nearby beaches, restaurants or bars. Close by is the famous and beautiful Copacabana beach.

Day 10. You will be met by your guide at the hotel and begin with a visit to Sugar Loaf mountain, which rises 400m over the luminescent green waters of Guanabara bay. You will then head to the historic center on foot and learning the intriguing origins of Brazil and why they are the only South American country that speaks Portuguese. The spirit of Carnival can be felt as you stroll about Sambódromo, which hosts the famous annual parades. Sunsets in Rio are extraordinary, especially when viewed from the highest point of the city. We'll arrive to Corcovado in the evening where the giant stone statue of Christ is placed with arms spread watching over the city. This evening you are free to enjoy the lively nightlife and tasty Brazilian steakhouses that will leave you more than satisfied.

Day 11. Depending on your individual flight times you may have time to take part in one of the following optional activities. Attend a traditional Samba show, a tour to the Tijucas National Park, or go Paragliding for a birds eye view of the city and landing on the red sand beach of Praia vermelho.
