The "Kiwi" trip is a gentler version of our signature "Rimu" South Island ultimate adventure tour. If you’re concerned about our trips being too active or this is your first guided adventure, then this is the trip for you! We’ve designed this incredible two-week experience to show off New Zealand’s scenic South Island to you the best way we know how, by getting into the outdoors. We’ll keep the pace steady, though, allowing even those new to hiking the opportunity to enjoy New Zealand’s unique wilderness. We’ll explore iconic destinations like Milford Sound, taking the option to try out some sea kayaking if you like, hike in Mount Cook National Park at the foot of New Zealand’s highest mountain, and we’ll enjoy the vitality and life of Queenstown.

We’ll also hike in Abel Tasman National Park, with its stunning beaches and lush, green vegetation and make our way down the rugged West Coast. All the while we’ll be serving up a good dose of the Active ingredients that make our trips so special – our extraordinarily talented guides, warm hospitality, small groups and welcoming accommodation. There’s a couple of optional activities to take part in too if you’re keen – the Franz Josef Heli-hike, which gives you the chance to explore the icy landscape of the glacier, and whale watching in Kaikoura, one of New Zealand’s most famous wildlife experiences. So, if you’re after an amazing New Zealand trip with the chance to get off the bus and explore at a gentle pace, then the "Kiwi" trip is an excellent option.
