We’ll also hike in Abel Tasman National Park, with its stunning beaches and lush, green vegetation and make our way down the rugged West Coast. All the while we’ll be serving up a good dose of the Active ingredients that make our trips so special – our extraordinarily talented guides, warm hospitality, small groups and welcoming accommodation. There’s a couple of optional activities to take part in too if you’re keen – the Franz Josef Heli-hike, which gives you the chance to explore the icy landscape of the glacier, and whale watching in Kaikoura, one of New Zealand’s most famous wildlife experiences. So, if you’re after an amazing New Zealand trip with the chance to get off the bus and explore at a gentle pace, then the "Kiwi" trip is an excellent option.
