Tour Itinerary:

Day 1: ARRIVAL

Arrival at Entebbe Airport, where you will be welcomed by a Nile Cruise Tours representative and transferred to your accommodation in Entebbe.
Day 2: ENTEBBE - MURCHISON FALLS NATIONAL PARK
On the second day we will depart for the most beautiful protected area in Uganda: Murchison Falls National Park. En route we will make a stop at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, home to the only wild rhinos in Uganda. The reserve was created to reintroduce rhinos to the country, which have been extinct in the area since 1982. Together with a guide, you will track the rhinos and observe them in their habitat at a very close, yet safe distance. Afterward, you will continue to Murchison Falls. Dinner and overnight at Red Chilli Rest Camp.
Day 3: MURCHISON FALLS NATIONAL PARK
After an early breakfast, we start the day with a game drive on the northern bank of the Nile, with chances of seeing giraffes, elephants, lions, hartebeest and different species of birds. In the afternoon, the safari will be continued with a boat cruise on the river Nile for more game viewing. Upon reaching the bottom of the waterfalls, we will disembark and climb our way up to the Top of the Falls, where you will be rewarded with amazing views of the Nile. Dinner and overnight at Red Chilli Rest Camp.
Day 4: MURCHISON FALLS - KIBALE FOREST NATIONAL PARK
We depart Murchison Falls and head towards Fort Portal. This long journey will be rewarded with stunning views as you pass small villages and local markets. Fort Portal rests in the shadow of the fabled “Mountains of the Moon” and is famous for the many tea plantations. From this lovely town we will continue to the dense forest of Kibale National Park. Dinner and overnight at the cottages of Primate Lodge Kibale.
Day 5: KIBALE FOREST & BIGODI SWAMP
Kibale Forest is reputable for having the greatest variety and highest concentration of primates in East Africa. Enjoy a guided nature walk in the tropical rainforest in search of the wild chimpanzee, red-tailed monkey, black-and-white colobus monkey and many others. After a hearty lunch, we transfer to the Bigodi Swamp for another, totally different nature walk. The Bigodi Swamp Walk is an initiative of the local community and is known for its rich diversity of birds and primates. Dinner and overnight at the cottages of Primate Lodge Kibale.
Day 6: CRATER LAKES
After a good breakfast, we will head off for an exploration of the crater lakes. Enjoy the beauty of the numerous small lakes, surrounded by gentle hills, and the stunning views. Take a hike at Lake Nkuruba to encounter different species of primates and birds, and visit the Mahoma Falls. Meet the local people as you walk through their villages, learn about the customs of the Batoro tribe and enjoy the panoramic views. Dinner and overnight at the cottages of Primate Lodge Kibale.
Day 7: KIBALE FOREST - QUEEN ELIZABETH NATIONAL PARK
Enjoy the majestic Rwenzori Mountains in its full glory! Have a guided walk at the foothills of the mountains and learn about the local culture firsthand. After this hike, we calmly transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park. Dinner and overnight at Simba Safari Camp.
Day 8: QUEEN ELIZABETH NATIONAL PARK
The day begins early when we start with a morning game drive and head to the mating ground of the Uganda Kobs. We search for lions, elephants, buffaloes and other wild animals in their natural habitat before returning for lunch. In the afternoon we take on a boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel, a natural channel between Lake Edward and Lake George. Thanks to the abundant bird-life, elephants, buffaloes and hundreds of hippos that are cooling off by the shores, this cruise will definitely be one of the highlights of your safari. Dinner and overnight at Simba Safari Camp.
Day 9: QUEEN ELIZABETH - BWINDI FOREST NATIONAL PARK
After breakfast, you will have the possibility to go in search of the chimpanzees in Kyambura Wildlife Reserve, a beautiful gorge completely covered with tropical rainforest (optional, not included in the price). In the afternoon departure to Bwindi National Park, home of the endangered mountain gorillas. Dinner and overnight at Buhoma Community Bandas.
Day 10: GORILLA TRACKING
The highlight of your safari: a meeting with the gentle giants of Bwindi! Especially hikers will love the tracking in the beautiful ecosystem of the park. Expect to walk a long distance in steep and muddy terrain, sometimes with rain overhead, before you encounter any gorillas. But it will definitely be worthwhile as you observe them closely while they eat, play and rest. A unique and unforgettable experience!
Those who prefer not to participate in the gorilla tracking, can go for a guided forest walk or explore the surroundings with the Buhoma Village Walk. Dinner and overnight at Buhoma Community Bandas.
Day 11: THE BATWA EXPERIENCE
Although Bwindi is mainly known for the gorillas, it has a lot more to offer. During this day you will enjoy the Batwa Experience, a firsthand introduction to one of the most unique cultures worldwide. The Batwa pygmies are a forest people, displaced from the rain forest they shared with mountain gorillas. This experience will give you the opportunity to learn more about their age old culture while you enjoy a hike with the Batwa guides, see how they lived and hunted, hear ancient legends and learn about medical plants. The revenue generated from these activities directly benefits the Batwa to strengthen their community. Dinner and overnight at Buhoma Community Bandas.
Day 12: BWINDI NATIONAL PARK - LAKE BUNYONYI
After breakfast, we depart to Lake Bunyonyi, the second deepest lake in Africa. Relax, take a swim or go for a canoe trip while you watch the beautiful sunset. Dinner and overnight at Bunyonyi Overland Camp.
Day 13: LAKE BUNYONYI - KAMPALA
After a calm breakfast, we depart the beautiful lake and head back to the capital city make a stop over at Lake Mburo for sightseeing of Zebras, giraffes kobs. En route we will pass the Equator where we will make a stop for photos and souvenir shopping. Late in the afternoon arrival in Kampala. Overnight at Hotel International.
Day 14: KAMPALA - JINJA
We leave the busy city and head towards the east. Jinja is situated directly at Lake Victoria, where the Nile finds its origin. On our way we will make a stop at Mabira Forest, one of the largest and most beautiful tropical forests in Uganda. A hike will enable you to stretch your legs with chances of seeing different species of primates, birds and colourful butterflies. Continue to Jinja for lunch and a relaxing afternoon. Dinner and overnight at Adrift Nile High Camp.
Day 15: JINJA
Ready for a full day of adventure? Then start rafting at the Source of the Nile! After receiving some instructions, you will start peddling and enjoy the beautiful scenery and thundering rapids at its fullest! And don’t forget to watch the incredible bird-life as you drift quietly between the rapids of the river.
Those who do not wish to go for rafting can choose for a calm boat ride at the Source of the Nile and watch the rafters going down at the spectacular Bujagali Falls. Dinner and overnight at Adrift Nile High Camp.
Day 16: DEPARTURE
Time to say goodbye to the Pearl of Africa! Enjoy the beauty of the Nile a bit more before we transfer back to Entebbe. In time you will be dropped at Entebbe International Airport for your flight home.

Day 1: KAMPALA - QUEEN ELIZABETH NATIONAL PARK
Departure from Kampala and transfer to the southwest of the country. On our way we will pass the Ugandan Equator where we will make a stop for photos and souvenir shopping. In the afternoon arrival in Queen Elizabeth NP and continue to Simba Safari Camp for overnight.

Day 1: KAMPALA - QUEEN ELIZABETH NATIONAL PARK
From Kampala we will depart for Queen Elizabeth National Park. On our way we will pass the Ugandan equator where you can take pictures and shop for a souvenir. After lunch in Mbarara we continue to the southwest and head for the Western Rift Valley. Upon arrival in the park you might spot the first wildlife, like waterbucks and warthogs, before arriving at your accommodation in the middle of the park. Dinner and overnight at Simba Safari Camp.
For upgrade you can stay at Mweya Safari Lodge or Jacana Safari Lodge.
Day 2: QUEEN ELIZABETH NATIONAL PARK
The day begins early as we go for a morning game drive and head for the mating ground of the Uganda Kobs. Day 3: QUEEN ELIZABETH NATIONAL PARK - KIBALE FOREST
After breakfast we will take you for a walk through the Maramagambo Forest, known for the Blue Lake and the Bat and Hunters Cave. You will get the chance to have a close look at the bats and maybe even the rock python and forest cobras that feed on the bats. The same walk will provide you with views of different bird species, primates and trees.
After this activity we will leave Queen Elizabeth National Park and drive to Fort Portal, situated at the foot of the Mountains of the Moon. From here we continue to the dense forest of Kibale National Park. Dinner and overnight at the cottages of Primate Lodge Kibale.

Day 4: KIBALE FOREST NATIONAL PARK
Early in the morning visit to Kibale Forest National Park, reputable of having the greatest variety and highest concentration of primates in East Africa. Enjoy a guided nature walk in the tropical rainforest in search of the wild chimpanzees, red-tailed monkeys, black-and-white colobus monkeys and many others. After lunch we will go for the Bigodi Swamp Walk, an initiative of the local community. The swamp is known for its rich diversity of birds and primates. Dinner and overnight at the cottages of Primate Lodge Kibale.

Day 5: KIBALE FOREST – KAMPALA
Time to say goodbye to the wonderful surroundings of Kibale Forest and the Mountains of the Moon. After a relaxing breakfast we drive back to Kampala where we will arrive in the afternoon.

Day 1: KAMPALA - JINJA
After breakfast we depart Kampala and head towards the unknown East. On our way to Jinja we will pass Mabira Forest, one of the largest and most beautiful tropical forests in Uganda. A short hike will allow you to stretch your legs and encounter different species of primates, birds and colourful butterflies. Upon arrival in Jinja we will visit the genuine origin of the Nile. Watch how the most famous river in the world starts its long journey through Africa. Dinner and overnight at the shores of the Nile in Adrift Nile High Camp.
Day 2: RAFTING THE NILE
Ready for a full day of adventure? Then start rafting at the source of the Nile. Enjoy the beautiful scenery and thundering rapids of the White Nile. Don’t forget to watch the incredible birdlife as you drift quietly between the rapids of the river.
The real adventurers can start or end the day with a dip in the river Nile by doing a bungee jump. Leap from one of the most spectacular sites in the world and touch the Source while hanging up side down (optional). Dinner and overnight at Adrift Nile High Camp.
Day 3: QUAD BIKE SAFARI
After breakfast we will go on a 4 hour quad bike safari. Follow the small tracks through the bushes that will lead you to undiscovered beautiful view points overlooking the rapids of the Nile. The safari will give you also the chance to explore the African countryside from another angle, as you pass small villages, cultivated land and see people during their daily activities.
After lunch you have different options to spend your afternoon. Relax at the impressive Bujagali Falls, ride along the shores of the Nile on the back of a horse, go kayaking, enjoy a village walk or rent a mountain bike and explore the surroundings by bicycle (optional). Dinner and overnight at Adrift Nile High Camp.
Day 4: JINJA - SIPI
Today we will leave the unforgettable Source of the Nile and continue to the east. Passing Iganga we drive towards Tororo, situated at the border with Kenya. From here you can observe the Tororo Rock, a prominent rock that rises 300 metres above the surrounding plains. Rock climbing is possible on request.
We proceed to Mbale, a charming town at the foot of the Mount Elgon. This area is full of rich heritage and fascinating culture. We will have a lunch stop at Mbale and with beautiful viewpoints on our way we will reach Sipi Village, nestled between mountains and waterfalls. Dinner and overnight at Sipi Falls Resort.
Day 5: SIPI FALLS
Today you will enjoy a hike to the lovely Sipi Falls. It is a beautiful walk to the bottom of the famous waterfall, then continue with a steep climb to a series of caves. As you follow the challenging trail to the other waterfalls, you will pass maize fields, banana plantations and typical bandas. Cool off with a natural shower and enjoy the breathtaking views over the valley. At the end of the day your strains will be rewarded with a magnificent sunset. Relax as the sun spreads its final ray of lights over de plains of Eastern Uganda! If you want to experience a real thrill and watch the waterfalls from a very close distance, then go abseiling down the mountain, along the famous Sipi Falls (optional). Dinner and overnight at Sipi Falls Resort.
Day 6: MOUNT ELGON NATIONAL PARK
After breakfast we drive to the Mount Elgon Forest Exploration Centre. Mount Elgon is an extinct volcano, situated on the border with Kenya. With 4321 metres of altitude it is the fourth highest mountain in East Africa and the second highest peak in Uganda.
A day hike will allow you to explore the diverse mountain forest. There are different trails to choose from, passing clear waterfalls, mysterious caves and spectacular viewpoints. It is a paradise for bird lovers, with about 300 different species of birds recorded in this enchanting area. At the end of the day we will return to the hospitality of Sipi Falls Resort for dinner and overnight.
Day 7: SIPI - KAMPALA
Time for some relaxing before we leave the Karamojong plains behind us and head back to the capital city. Arrival in the afternoon in Kampala and drop off at the place of your choice.
