Day 1: Tana Arriving at Ivato international airport, clear customs and meet Ortour representative for transfer to the Hotel Chalet des Roses (midrange) or Tana Hotel (top) for overnight. Day 2: Tana - Andasibe Morning drive to go to Andasibe where tourists are expected to see and meet the biggest quasi-untailed lemur known as the Indri (indri indri). Andasibe is a rainforest area covered of 810 hectare; the national park of Analamazaotra often referred to Périnet, the Indri’s home. Mantadia and the Special Reserve of Indri of Analamazaotra form the complex Andasibe Mantadia. These two protected areas are identical but unfortunately the human pressures separated them. Mantadia spreads over 15 480 ha. Overnight at Hotel Feon’ny Ala (mid range) or Hotel Vakona (top). Day 3: Visit at the Park Morning walk at the reserve to see the biggest lemur (Indri). The park of Andasibe accommodates a lot of animals which assure their perpetuity at the same time. 108 species of birds are known in the park, of which some play a role in the survival of plants like Terpsiphone mutata. We can also find 14 species of lemurs in there, 51 species of reptiles Boa of which the famous Boa manditra and 84 species of amphibian. Overnight at Hotel Feon’ny Ala (Mid range) or Hotel Vakona (top). Days 4-5: Andasibe - Manambato - Palmarium Leave Andasibe to Manambato; take the boat to Ankanin’ny Nofy. This is a relaxing place, with its lovely seaside and lakeside full of vegetation. The edge of this Channel is often bordered by typical lush vegetation which characterizes the eastern part of the Great Island. This luxuriant vegetation, the Palmarium is more than relaxing place because you can visit the small private reserve of palmarium in which the lemurs are easy to find. The Palmarium is located on a peninsula of more than 30 hectares on the Ampitabe Lake. Overnight at Palmarium bungalow (mid range). Day 6: Palmarium - Toamasina - Mahambo In the morning, leave Ankanin’ny Nofy and take a boat to go to Toamasina. Drive from Toamasina to Mahambo. Mahambo is a coastal village which is 84 km north of Toamasina; it is very notable for its beautiful beach (it is safe for swimming) and for its striding vegetation, rich of seafood. Overnight at Hotel La Pirogue (high mid range) or at Hotel Ylang ylang (mid range). Days 7 - 9: Mahambo - Soanierana - Sainte Marie Morning boat riding from Soanierana Ivongo to go to the Island of Sainte Marie at 9:00 am to Sainte Marie which is a small paradise of beach and a good place to see whales. Overnight at North la Crique or the South Iles aux Nattes. Hotel La Crique (Mid range), Maningory Hotel (high midrange), Hotel Soanambo (top), Hotel Princesse Bora (top). Day 10: Sainte Marie – Tana Fly back to Antananarivo. The end of the trip. Notes: Prices:
