Day 1: Tana
Upon your arrival at the airport Ivato, our representative welcomes you and arrange the transfer to your hotel of convenience: Overnight at the hotel Chalet des Roses (Midrange) or Mellis (Top).
Day 2: Tana - Antsirabe
After breakfast, morning drive toward the national route R7, through the high plateau’s landscape: mountains and ricefield scenery. Visit the surrounding: Lake Tritriva, Lake Andraikiba and the workshop of semi and precious stones. Overnight at Hotel Le Trianon (midrange) or Hotel Couleur Café (top), Villa Camélia/ Le Voyageur (top).
Days 3 - 4: Antsirabe - Ambositra
Two hours driving from Antsirabe on the national road number 7 south brings you to Ambositra, a city known for its wood crafts (carved wood). One day and half trekking to the village of Zafimaniry till Sakaivo or Faliarivo. A night camping and the last night at the hotel Artisan (midrange) or Hotel Violette (midrange).
Day 5: Ambositra - Ranomafana
Leave Ambositra to Ranomafana national park, 9 km before entering the town of Ranomafana, you will have half an hour stop at an impressive views of the fall and mists of water from the river Namorona. Overnight at the hotel Cristo. (midrange) Centr’Est (midrange, top), Setam Lodge (top).
Day 6: Ranomafana
A visit accompanied with your local guide. Ranomafana National Park where you can admire some twenty species of mammals including species 12 lemurs.
- 115 species of birds including thirty of them are strictly forest species.
- 90 species of butterflies,
- 98 species of amphibians,
- And 62 species of reptiles: Chameleons, lizards.

Days 7 - 9: Ranomafana - Andringitra
We leave Ranomafana to Ambalavao pass through Fianarantsoa. Visit the craft work of the Antemoro and continue to Andringitra National Park. Andringitra is 47 km south of Ambalavao along National Road No. 7 in the region of Upper Matsiatra. The park covers 31,160 ha. Perched on the heights, its altitude varies between 650 and 2658 m. Concentrated endemism and diversity, biodiversity Andringitra is preserved by the provision of park slope and rock masses. Andringitra is one of the park more attractive because it has the form of fabulous landscape of hills, rock with beautiful waterfalls and plants. Camping (two nights). Last night at the Cottage Andringitra.
Day 10: Andringitra - Fianarantsoa
Drive from Andringitra to Fianarantsoa in order to catch the train the next day. Shopping center and transport hub, Fianarantsoa is connected by rail to Manakara on the east coast. Surrounding area, located 1,200 meters above sea level in the highlands region of Betsileo, partially cultivated tobacco, rice, grapes and coffee. It also owns farms involved in livestock production, soap and oil factories. Local industries based on processing of rice, meat packing beef, brick making and woodworking. It is also here that we produce the best wine of the island. The varieties imported by the French and Swiss, give red wine, rosé and white wines to taste fruity enough, which is tasted in the cellars of the vineyards surrounding the city. Former headquarters of the Christian missionaries, it is considered the intellectual center of Madagascar and there are many bookstores.

Day 11: Fianarantsoa - Manakara
The train ride will give you the opportunity to enjoy the lifestyle peasant highlands. At each stop the train will give you a vision of the various facets of daily life of each ethnic group along the route.

Day 12: Manakara - Ankaramalaza - Andemaka
Leave Manakara early in the morning to join Ankaramalaza. It is a small village that has a center of worship and revival movement of Lutheran Churches in Madagascar, these spiritual meetings are held once every year. After this visit, you will take a dugout canoe down the river to join the region of Vohipeno. After the visit return to Manakara, Overnight at the Hotel Parthenay. (Midrange).
Day 13: Andemaka - Farafangana
On the road again to the city of Farafangana, which is one of the largest cities in the South-east of the island. Visit the city and its surroundings. Overnight at Hotel Austral (midrange).
Days 14 - 15: Farafangana - Manombo
On the road again for Manombo a special reserve which is home to 8 species of diurnal and nocturnal lemurs Eulemur whose cinereicepsVarecia, variegata variegata, Microcebus rufus, Avahi laniger, Lepilemur and Hapalemur and various species of land snails and other mammals as: Limnogale mergulus, Eupleres goudoti, Cryptoprocta ferox Brachyuromys betsileonsis, Nesomys Audebert. Birds: Fifty eight (58) species, including: Galidia elegans Ardeola idea. Reptiles which Leptosomus discolor, Boa madagascariensis, and amphibians: with Mantella Bernhardi endemic Manombo fish: endemic to the region as Bedotia sp Pantanodon, Paratilapia sp. The entire Special Reserve Manombo shows exceptionally diverse flora. Of the five endemic families currently identified, four are identified: the Asteropeiaceae, lesPhysenaceae the Sarcolaenaceae and Sphaerosepalaceae. 65.05% of the identified species are endemic to Madagascar. Return to Farafangana and overnight at Hotel Austral (midrange).
Day 16: Farafangana - Sandravinany
Farafangana leaving early in the morning, our journey continues south to the town of Sandravinany for a day of relaxation on the shores of its beautiful beaches and lobster at will. Overnight in a bungalow (midrange).
Day 17: Sandravinany - Nahampohana
From Sandravianany you reach the reserve Nahampohana which is a private reserve, Every lemur species native to the south of Madagascar lives in this park. During the early morning hours various groups of lemurs, such as Verreaux's Sifaka, Ring-tailed Lemur or Brown Lemur, usually play in the trees and on the ground near the old colonial house. Other animals in the park include chameleons, tortoises, crocodiles and a wide variety of birds. Overnight in a bungalow (midrange).
Day 18: Nahampohana - Berenty
Drive from Nahampoana to Berenty reserve which is around two and half hour drive. In 1936, the family decides Deaulme protect animals from a gallery forest of century-old tamarind trees bordering the River Mandrare, but also the "thicket" characteristic of southern Madagascar in an area adjacent to the reserve. Since then, the lemurs who live there have lost some of the fear of man and let themselves out. Four species of lemurs in the region are represented: the Sifaka and Maki (diurnal species), and the Tsidy Sonygika (nocturnal species). In addition, a species from the region of Morondava was introduced, and was perfectly acclimatized, the Gidro (diurnal species). Overnight at Berenty Lodge. (Top)
Day 19: Berenty - Andohahela - Fort Dauphin
We leave Berenty for Andohahela national park where you will see the thorny plants of the tropical forest of southern large island. 13 species of lemurs, 120 bird species and varieties of amphibians and reptiles live there. There are also different kinds of palm trees such as palms triangular Ravinala also called the Tree of Travellers who makes famous Andohahela. Then you will continue your trip to Fort Dauphin. Overnight at Hotel Lavasoa (Midrange) or Croix du Sud /Kaleta (top).
Day 20: Fort Dauphin - Tana
A transfer will be provided by your hotel to the Airport Fort Dauphin. Our service will end on the arrival in Tana.
