Portugal Nature Trails runs guided hikes in Sintra Natural Park every day. We offer two different hikes in Sintra Natural Park. These hikes can be adapted to most fitness levels. Cycling Sintra: Sintra Natural Park is a paradise for mountain bikers - our favorite playground, just outside the capital of Portugal, Lisbon. Sintra’s mountain range or locally the Serra de Sintra covers about 16 km from the UNESCO World Heritage town of Sintra to Cabo da Roca on the Atlantic Ocean. Its highest point is at 530 meters. Sintra was known to the Ancient World as Lunae Mons (mountains of the Moon) and was the legendary retreat of Diana the Huntress (Cynthia to the Romans, hence Çintra). Portugal Nature Trails runs guided mountain bike rides in Sintra Natural Park every day. These rides can be adapted to all kinds of technical and fitness levels so everyone has fun. From tight single tracks to wide open dirt roads or even free ride stunts Sintra has plenty to offer! The riding distances can vary from only 12km up to 50km and riding times last from one hour up to 4 hours.
