Day 1: Santiago
Welcome to Chile! Upon arrival you will be transferred to your hotel. Overnight at a hotel in Santiago.
Day 2: Altiplano and Atacama Desert - San Pedro de Atacama - Santiago
We will pick you up from you hotel early in the morning and transfer you to the airport. Fly to Calama. Upon arrival you will be transferred to San Pedro de Atacama in the Atacama Desert. Check-in to your hotel, have lunch and get ready for your afternoon trekking excursion! At around 3-4 PM head to the Moon Valley (Valle de La Luna). Trek in the Kari Canyon for about 1.5/2 hrs. Then visit the most spectacular sites of the Valle de la Luna (e.g. Las tres Marías, the Amphitheater) and see sunset in the Great Dune viewpoint. Return to San Pedro at 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm. Overnight at a hotel.
Day 3: San Pedro de Atacama
Wake-up and get ready for a biking excursion! At 9:00 am, we will pick you up from your hotel and head to Laguna Cejar, a salt lagoon located north of the Salar de Atacama (29 kms from San Pedro de Atacama). On the way to the Laguna Cejar, you will travel through the little village of Ayllus. After 2 hours biking, encounter the magical turquoise waters of the Cejar Lagoon which have a buoyancy level higher than that of the Dead Sea, because of high concentrations of salt and lithium. If you are up for it, get ready for a swim! As soon as you get into the water you can float. Make sure not to put your head under the water as your eyes will burn. When you get out, rinse your body off with water has you will have a lot of salt on you. Very nearby are the Ojos del Salar (Eyes of the Salt Flat), two freshwater pools which you can also explore. After enjoying these breathtaking natural sites, take your bikes and ride back to San Pedro de Atacama. Overnight at a hotel.

Day 4: San Pedro de Atacama
The tour leaves at 8:00 AM. In this excursion immerses yourself in the landscapes of the High Plateau of the Atacama Desert, a pleasant hike along rivers where you will discover an old shepherd route where you can still see the vestiges of human occupation, with its crop terraces, the world of shepherds and llamas. The trekking occurs in an altitude of 4,000 3,200 meters above sea level. The distance is about 12 km. Return to the hotel at 5:00 pm. Overnight at a hotel.
Day 5: San Pedro de Atacama
Today we will hike the Laskar Volcano. We leave at around 5:00 AM, retuning at around 6:00 PM. Breakfast will be served at Laguna bleach. The hike to the base of the volcano (4,900 m.) lasts about 3 to 4 hours and an additional hour to hike to reach the summit of the volcano. No special equipment is required, but good hiking boots are recommended. During winter we recommend the use of mountain gear for low temperatures.Overnight at a hotel.
Day 6: Altiplano and Atacama Desert - San Pedro de Atacama - Santiago
In the early afternoon, we will pick you up from your hotel and drive you to the Calama Airport. Fly back to Santiago. Upon arrival you will be transferred to the hotel. Overnight at a hotel in Santiago.
Day 7: Santiago
Take a tour of the capital and visit some of its historic sites. We will pick you up from your hotel and show you the metropolitan city of Santiago. In this tour visit Santiago?s most important historical sites, including the downtown area surrounding the Plaza de Armas and the La Moneda Presidential Palace. We will also pass by the Mercado Central, one of Chile?s largest fresh seafood markets, and stroll by the many bustling stalls to see the tremendous variety available from Chile?s bountiful sea. We will visit some of the city?s lesser known barrios including República and Concha y Toro. Initially constituting the outskirts of the city, the capital's constant growth transformed the area into a privileged neighborhood and home to Santiago's high society. There will be time to walk around and take photos of the varied styles of architecture dating back to the 19th and early 20th century. Continuing through the cobblestoned Lastarria neighborhood, we will walk through the Parque Forestal and pass by the Bellas Artes Museum. For a panoramic vista of the city, we will visit the top of Cerro San Cristobal, 600 feet above the city. During the tour, you will have the option to visit one of Santiago?s most famous museums, La Chascona, the former home of Chile?s beloved poet, Nobel Laureate Pablo Neruda. You can end the tour at the picturesque Los Dominicos Craft Market where over 150 Chilean artists? handicrafts are displayed; stroll through the artisan village and enjoy an empanada at one of the outdoor cafes or we can drop you off at your hotel. Tour lasts about 4 hours.
Day 8: Santiago. Transfer to the airport to take your flight home. END OF SERVICES.
