Highlights: - 5 days cycling in Natural Parks - Southwestern-most point of Europe - Stunning landscape of this wild Coast - Cycle on the cliffs over the Atlantic Tour Itinerary: Day 1: Arrival Welcome at airport or hotel in Lisbon. Transfer to first Hotel in Sesimbra (30min) and briefing about tour. Lodging: Hotel SPA (4*). Day 2: Arrábida National Park. Sesimbra to Comporta (45km, 500D+). Riding up Arrabida Natural Park with amazing sea views from the cliffs. you will admire the beautiful and exuberant Mediterranean landscapes and an incredible coast with agreeable beaches where the fine sand and clear sea waters show a strong contrast of unusual colors. Ferry to cross of river Sado to reach Troia Peninsula. Lodging: Guest House. Day 3: Going to the Sierra. Comporta to Santiago Cacém (58km, 500D+). Start day by trails along canals and rice fields. Ride with the company of birds and numerous storks. Cross a Sierra - the landscape changes suddenly, you left the plains and sandy pine forest and get into a up and down road through an incredible Cork Forest. Arrive to Santiago, a village with a Castle. Lodging: Hotel (4*). Day 4: SACV Natural Park. Santiago Cacém to Milfontes (54km, 300D+). Left Santiago by a road on the sierra and get to the sea. You will enter the Natural Park on a scénic road over the sea and pass Porto Covo typical village. From here to the end of this tour you are in the Natural Park. Arrive to Milfontes. Lodging: Charming Guest House. Day 5: The Storks on the cliffs. Milfontes to Odeceixe (46km, 350D+). Ride on SW Alentejano Natural Park with amazing views over the sea and visit stunning Sardão cape. Admire the incredible Stork chest's on the cliffs! Ride near spectacular cliffs and visit typical village Zambujeira. Continue through fields till you go down to a river. Crossing the river let'syou came into a new region - the Wild Algarve! Lodging: Charming Guest House. Day 6: "Aljezur" medieval village. Odeceixe to Arrifana (49km, 600D+). Start the day going to one of the most beautiful scenery of this coast - Odeceixe beach! After crossing a plateau you will go down again for more incredible beaches. Then follow a valley where once caravels sailed to the village of Aljezur about 5 km inland. Go up the narrow streets through typical houses and get up to the medieval castle of Aljezur! End in an amazing village over the Cliffs - Arrifana! Lodging: Charming Guest House. Day 7: The Wild Algarve Coast. Arrifana to Pedralva (45km, 500D+). Ride through some forests and get again close to sea by incredible village of Carrapateira, following a dirt road along the sea that shows this region at its most beautiful. Pass by stunning beaches, with incredible colorful cliffs. Go up on a dirt road under through a beautiful round pine forest and arrive to a typical and old village once abandoned and recovered as a hotel! Lodging: Charming Village Hotel. Day 8: Where land end and sea begin. Pedralva to Sagres (35km,350D+). Cycle again close to sea and go by a amazing dirt road over the cliffs and crossing beautiful beaches. Some steep up hill to get out of the beaches! Then ride South along Algarve wild coast till Cape S. Vicente - the southwestern-most point of Continental Europe. Lodging in Sagres in a 4* new hotel over the sea, surrounded by stunning desert beaches. Lodging: Hotel (4*). Day 9: Return Bike packing for transport and Transfer (including bikes) to Lagos Train Station (40min). Train to Lisbon (approx. 6 h). Optional: private transfer to Lisbon (3h).(300km). Extend your Tour: Start Cycling in Lisbon and add one more day cycling to your tour...Or you can add a extra day at the end cycling to Lagos...Or add both and you will get a 9 day cycling tour!!!
