Spend the first nights of your journey in a unique B&B. Your sumptuous troglodyte room is beautifully decorated with all modern conveniences. Located in the middle of the vineyards close to Tours, this is the perfect starting point to discover historical sites such as the castles of Cheverny and Chenonceau.

In the nearby fortified city of Amboise enjoy a very special wine tasting. You will have the opportunity to taste 5 different wines accompanied by cold cuts.

You will stay for the following nights in a lovely 15th century farmhouse. Your Hosts, Flo & Phil, know the Loire Valley inside out and can give you local addresses and many tips on finding places that tourists usually miss. They organize wine & food tasting where you'll discover many of the local delicacies, together with other travelers.

Located on the south banks of the Vienne River, this charming B&B is within 15 minute drive from Chinon and Azay-Le-Rideau, gorgeous, historic cities. Included in this itinerary is a bike rental for a day. You will discover, at your own pace, villages and castles such as Langeais and Villandry.

Explore a 12th century Abbey, guided by its owner who will share with you his passion for this place from the construction methods, the architecture, the monastic life to how this monument has changed throughout the centuries. A must for those interested in heritage...that you won't find in any travel book.

Your next stop will be in the heart of the medieval city of Loches. Stay in a very comfortable house, built against the old walls. From there, explore Montrésor, one of the "most beautiful villages of France"; and many other places, restaurants and markets off the beaten track.

On your way back to Paris, spend the last night in a fabulous place: Chambord castle estate. You'll be among the happy few allowed to experience the Chateau de Chambord away from the tourist buses! Take a ride in the state forest where King François the First used to go hunting, then walk around the castle at night, when all the other tourists have left the site.

This is the real France !
