Mont Ventoux remains the most authentic part of Provence, with little villages such as Vaison la Romaine and Bedoin, dramatic landscapes like “les Dentelles de Montmirail”. In such scenery, we have handpicked a wine estate that offers a picnic in the vineyards. You can taste red, white and rosé wines and chose a bottle to have with a great lunch made of regional products...With a breathtaking view on Mont Ventoux. If you are interested in Roman ruins: the theater at Orange, the arenas at Arles and the Pont du Gard are just some of them.
If you like wine, save half a day to explore the Châteauneuf-du-Pape vineyards where we have selected expert winemakers. There, we have planned a very special wine & chocolate tasting. With a sommelier, taste these different savours and find out what combination you like best. A must do for "gourmets"!
For the following nights, stay in a typical stone house, centrally located to explore Avignon and the Isle sur la Sorgue, famous for its antiques. Isabelle and her family will welcome you warmly and give you tips about the region. They will cook a delicious Provençal Table d’Hôtes dinner that you will enjoy in the rose garden.
From there, discover the "city of the Popes", Luberon hilltop villages and breathtaking landscapes. In Provence, we can recommend a local market and wine cellar for each day of the week!
You'll drive across the Luberon mountains to reach the Riviera's back country and the worldwide perfume capital: Grasse.
In Grasse, you'll stay in a 17th century restored mill where olive oil was made. Your Host and his mother have decorated the place very tastefully and know the whole region inside out. We'll advise you on the best perfume factory where you might be tempted to step into a perfume maker's shoes and create your own perfume.
Riviera has the most beautiful handicrafts in France, in particular ceramics, sculpture and painting. For art lovers, the art museums of Nice will amaze you with masterpieces by Chagall, Renoir and Picasso.
To avoid the crowds on the Riviera, you’ll stay in a gorgeous hilltop village in the back country. Enjoy a peaceful atmosphere while playing petanque or having a drink at a table at an outside café. Stéphane & Véro will welcome you warmly and have you share a dinner around the pool.
In a quaint village, let Guy - your guide - drive you all around the very narrow streets in an electric golf car and tell you fascinating and funny stories about the place and its inhabitants.
But the Riviera is even more than that. It is a marvel of fabulous 19th century villas and sapphire waters. From Antibes old city to Monte Carlo, seaside resorts will satisfy your shopping desires. Nature is always within reach, with many hiking trails or biking tours in spectacular scenery.
