Tour Itinerary:
Day 1: Abidjan, Cote D’Ivoire. Arrive Abidjan; meet assist and transfer to Hotel. Overnight at Ibis Abidjan Plateau Hotel or Similar. Day 2: Abidjan – Grand Bassam – Abidjan. After breakfast, drive to Grand Bassam, the colonial capital city. Visit the French colonial district, the costume museum; craft center; governor “Binger” palace, and the Arianne Monument. In the afternoon visit the market for souvenirs. In the Evening drive back to Abidjan for overnight. Meal(s) Included: Breakfast. Overnight at Ibis Abidjan Plateau Hotel or Similar. Day 3: Abidjan – Abengourou. After breakfast, go to the capital of the Indénié Kingdom, Abengourou visit the school of fetish women “Komians” in Aniassué where you will enjoy Komian Dance. After lunch, transfer to your hotel. In the afternoon visit the coffee and cocoa fields, enjoy the legendary hospitality of the King of Niablé, and finally a meet and greet with local radio hosts. Meal(s) Included: Breakfast. Overnight at Hotel Le Royaume or Similar. Day 4: Abengourou – Yamoussoukro. After breakfast, drive to Yamoussoukro, the political capital city. After lunch, visit the Basilica “Notre dame de la Paix” (the highest in the world) continue onward to see the sacred crocodiles, mosques and the polytechnic schools. Meal(s) Included: Breakfast. Overnight at Hotel President Yamoussoukro or Similar. Day 5: Yamoussoukro – Soubre. After breakfast drive to Soubré, en route visit the sacred monkeys of Gbétitapea and a “Bété” ethnic group market. Continue on to the hotel. In the afternoon visit the waterfalls of the River Nawa. Meal(s) Included: Breakfast. Overnight at Hotel Le Campement or Similar. Day 6: Soubre – Abidjan. After breakfast, return to Abidjan, stopping at points of interest. Enjoy the rest of your day at leisure. Meal(s) Included: Breakfast. Overnight at Ibis Abidjan Plateau Hotel or Similar. Day 7: Abidjan – Depart. After breakfast go on a city tour of Abidjan including Le Plateau, the central, high-rise commercial area, Cocody, the upscale residential section and Treichville, which is linked to Le Plateau by two major bridges. Treichville is one of the areas where the masses live. It has a few colorful markets and quite an interesting, vibrant nightlife. No tour of Abidjan would be complete without a visit to the north-western part of town, Abobo, where Africa’s largest outdoor launderette (laundry) is located. Here you will witness an unforgettable spectacle, hundreds of Fanicos (washer men, no women), jam together in the middle of a stream to wash clothes. They work all day every day, frantically rubbing garments on huge stones held in place by old car vehicle tires then spreading the clothes over rocks and grass in a large drying area. Despite the look of confusion, they never get their clients clothes mixed or missing. Transfer to the airport for you International flight. Meal(s) Included: Breakfast.
