Day 1, Thursday, Oct 31, 2013: Arrive Libreville.
On arrival in Libreville; you will be met, assisted and transferred to your hotel for check-in. Overnight at Heliconia Hotel Or Similar.

Day 2, Friday, Nov. 1, 2013: Libreville and Vicinity – Libreville.
Breakfast then visit the city of Libreville and vicinity. Stops include the Saint-Michel Church of Nkembo with its carved wooden pillars and the Mont Boue market. Meal(s) Included: Breakfast. Overnight at Heliconia Hotel Or Similar.

Day 3, Saturday, Nov. 2, 2013: Libreville – Observation Site – Lambarene.
Today we will drive to Lambaréné, inspection of Eclipse observation site on the way. Have lunch upon arrival then go for a city tour of Lambaréné, visit the Schweitzer hospital and the Schweitzer’s museum. Overnight in Lambaréné. Meal(s) Included: Breakfast. Overnight at Ogoue Hotel Or Similar.

Day 4, Sunday, Nov. 3, 2013:Lambarene – Observation Site – Lambarene.
After breakfast transfer to the observation site to prepare for the observation from 14:52:00 to 14:53:51. After the eclipse, return to Lambarene for dinner and overnight. Meal(s) Included: Breakfast. Overnight at Ogooe Hotel Or Similar.

Day 5, Monday, Nov. 4, 2013: Lope National Park.
After breakfast, approximately 7-hour drive to Lopé National Park.You will enjoy the scenery of the beautiful countryside with stops enroute. Arrive at Lopé Hotel located at the foot of Mont Brazza and looks out onto the Ogooué River.This evening , you will be driven through the savannah in 4X4 vehicles where you should see wildlife including forest elephants, buffaloes and monkeys. October – December is mango season and elephants come to the village to feed on mangoes. Meal(s) Included: Breakfast. Overnight at Lope Hotel Or Similar.

Day 6, Tuesday, Nov. 5, 2013: Lope National Park – Mikongo – Lope National Park.
Awake to the roaring sound of the Ogooue River. After an early breakfast, you will go on a 45 minute drive to the Mikongo Forest area. With your experienced guide you will hike in the jungle to track gorillas, apes and elephants. You might also see monkeys and antelopes. (The trackers are experienced and would have located the animals a few days earlier). In the evening, you will return to Lopé Hotel. Meal(s) Included: Breakfast. Overnight at Lope Hotel Or Similar.

Day 7, Sunday, Nov. 6, 2013: Lope National Park – Libreville – Depart.
Early breakfast then depart for the return trip to Libreville.Arrive in Libreville, refresh and have dinner before you are transferred to the airport for the onward flight. Meal(s) Included: Breakfast. You may also extend your stay in Libreville.
