Tour Overview:
Trip To Sundarban Forest - Katka , Kachikhali, Harbaria Wildlife Sanctuary Area. Dhaka - Mongla - Dhaka 2 (Two) days by A C car. Mongla - Sundarban Area - Mongla by boat 3 (three) days = Total 5 (five) days. The Sundarbans mangrove forest, one of the largest such forests in the world (140,000 ha), lies on the delta of the Ganges, Brahmaputra and Meghna rivers on the Bay of Bengal. It is adjacent to the border of India’s Sundarbans World Heritage site inscribed in 1987. The site is intersected by a complex network of tidal waterways, mudflats and small islands of salt-tolerant mangrove forests, and presents an excellent example of ongoing ecological processes. The area is known for its wide range of fauna, including 260 bird species, the Bengal tiger and other threatened species such as the estuarine crocodile and the Indian python. Tour Itinerary: Day 1: Pick up from Dhaka International Airport at later afternoon then Start journey towards journey to Mongla. Day 2: In the morning, the boat will start towards Sundarban, on the way we will pickup forest permits and arms guards from the forest department, and reach Katka around 4 pm. The guide will then offer you some activities about sun set. Overnight on boat. Day 3: In the morning, before breakfast, a small boat trip through the canals, where you may see a tiger (if luck favors) and get a chance to see many deer/birds and other animals from 30 feet high tower. After breakfast, 45 minutes of walking through the jungle and reach Jamtala beach, after some time back to boat for lunch. After lunch boat will start towards Kachikhali and anchor in front of the forest office. Walking in the jungle to see the beauty of Sundarban. Back to boat and night stay on the boat. Day 4: Early in the morning, the boat will start towards Harbaria and in the canal find many crocodile, reach Harbaria at 2pm. Walking through the jungle for 30 minutes. May see tiger and its foot print, deer and other animals. Back to boat take early dinner and back to Mongla. Day: 5: We will drop to you Hotel or International Airport. Additional Info: Boat capacity = 10 (ten) sleeping beds; Two rooms with three single-beds = 6 (six) beds, one room with two single-beds and a double (couple) bed. A high commode and shower. Meals: Breakfast = American / Continental / Bangladeshi. Lunch = Soup (Any groug), Rice or Chapati or Paratha/Fried chicken or fried fish, Vegetables, Dal, Salads, Fruit (Seasonal), Tea or Coffee. Dinner = Soup, Egg fried rice, Chicken Rejala, Vegetable, Salad, Fruit, Tea/Coffee. Snacks = Sweet, Fruit, Ice cream, Biscuit, (Any two) + Tea or Coffee. Meal times: Morning Tea- 6 AM, Breakfast- 8 AM, Morning Snacks- 11 AM, Lunch- 1 PM, Dinner- 8 PM.
