Tour Itinerary:
Day 1: Airport / Negombo Meet and assist at the airport At Bandaranayke Airport & leave to the beach hotel in Bentota. Situated in the Galle District of the Southern province, Bentota is a coastal city famous for golden beaches. The town is a popular tourist attraction and also a favorite destination for water sports. P.M. – At leisure. Dinner & overnight at hotel. Day 2: Bentota / Balapitiya / kosgoda / Bentota Breakfat at the hotel & AM at leisure. PM. Stay leisure or do an optional excursion to Balapitiya & Kosgoda. In Balapitiya, you can enjoy a Boat ride along the Madhau River (commonly referred as Madhu Ganga. Madu Ganga wetland is regarded as Sri Lanka's second largest wetland consisting 915 hectares which is flanked by about 25 islands. The people living in these islands are engaged in fishing, coir and cinnamon production, Shrimp farming & etc. A charming aspect of Madu Ganga is probably its calm and unruffled nature. The mangroves provide home for many aquatic plants and animals including a variety of birds, fish, crabs, shrimp and fauna. Another major attraction within this wetland is, the one-and-a-half century old temple, which is believed to have provided first accommodation for the Sacred Tooth Relic of the Buddha when it was brought to the isle. In Kosgoda visit a Turtle Hatchery established in 1981 to protect Sri Lanka's turtles from extinction. The hatchery pays fishermen for eggs that they collect at night along the sandy beach. Visitors can see huge tanks filled with new born turtle hatchlings. After being fed, the baby turtles are taken to the sea and released when they are 2-4 days old, usually during the safer hours of darkness. Although October to April is the main laying season, some eggs can be found at Kosgoda throughout the year. Dinner & Overnight at hotel. Note: if you want to stay leisure or engage yourself in some other water sports such as windsurfing, surfing, waterskiing, wakeboarding, body boarding, banana ride, tube ride, jet-ski, deep sea fishing, river fishing, snorkeling, diving & etc, & if interested, can do the Balapitiya & Kosgoda excursion the next day, en-route to Mirissa. Day 3: Bentota / Galle / Mirissa After breakfast leave to the other Beach Destination & en-route visit Galle. Galle is the best example of a fortified city built by Europeans in south and southeast Asia, showing the interaction between European architectural styles and south Asian traditions. The Galle fort is a world heritage site and the largest remaining fortress in Asia built by European occupiers. Other prominent landmarks in Galle include the natural harbor, the National Maritime Museum, St. Mary's Cathedral founded by Jesuit priests. Arrive at the hotel for & Dinner & overnight at hotel. Day 4: Mirissa With take away Breakfast take a boat ride to the deep sea areas off Mirissa, for an expedition on . Whale & dolphin Watching. Tour May last 3-5 Hours. Qualified skipper and crew will assist you while in tour. In general, the boats engaged are Licensed for passenger Travelling & equipped with GPS Navigation, Communication Equipment, & Life jackets. Later return to hotel & relax. Dinner & overnight at hotel. Day 5: Colombo After Breakfast leave to Colombo. Arrive at the hotel & relax. P.M. Visit the city of Colombo, the commercial capital which is strategically located on the east west trade route and is a major business hub. The city serves as a major port and the largest financial center of Sri Lanka. Colombo is a blend of old and the new.
