Day 1: Airport / Colombo Arrival, welcome & assistance at the airport transfer to the hotel in Colombo & Relax. P.M - visit the fascinating city of Colombo, the capital of Sri Lanka which brings together the old and the new. Colonial ruins and buildings contrast with high - rise hotels and commercial banks. Colombo, an eighth century port, houses administrative, financial and other offices of relevance to the traveler. A part of finest structures of its colonial heritage. The city has developed, through several phases, into a modern city. Return to the hotel for overnight stay. Day 2: Colombo After breakfast transfer to Royal Colombo Golf Club for a full days play. This 18 hole golf course it is a flat course with broad fairways which looks simple to beginners but there are many water hazards and well guarded bunkers which quickly change the opinion. The course is situated within the city limits, & occasional trains on the Kelani Valley Railway line running through the course makes it one of a kind course. P.M. If interested, the place is also ideal for a refreshing river bath. Later arrive in Nuwaraeliya , a picturesque town located in the Central Highlands of the island and is fondly known as ‘Little England’ because of its weather and the colonial architecture with the British influence that can be seen all over the town. The magnificent views that adorn this mountain town will leave you breathless. Overnight at hotel. Day 4: Nuwaraeliya After breakfast transfer to Nuwaraeliya Golf Club. An 18 hole tight, challenging hilly course with scenic surroundings and tight fairways. One of Asia’s finest Golf Courses. Full day golf & return to the hotel for overnight stay. Day 5: Nuwaraeliya / Kandy After an early breakfast, leave to Kandy en-route visit to a tea plantation and witness the manufacture of the world famous ' Ceylon tea ', also visit Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage. which was built to protect baby elephants that have been left orphaned. It is also a breeding ground for these majestic creatures and is also known to be the largest herd of elephants in captivity in the world. You can watch the elephants as they bathe in the water and also feed the baby jumbos, which is a unique opportunity that you’ll only experience here. P.M. Visit the city of Kandy, known to be the country’s cultural capital and an example of Sri Lanka’s rich cultural heritage. This beautiful city in the hills is ideal for relaxing and reflecting. The City is home to the tooth relic of the Lord Buddha and it is housed in the famous ‘Dalada Maligawa’ or ‘Temple of the Tooth’, which is also known to be the palace of the Last King of Ancient Sri Lanka. If time permits, late in the evening view a Kandyan cultural performance & transfer to the hotel situated closer to the Golf Club for overnight stay. Day 6: Kandy After breakfast full day Golf in Victoria Golf course in Kandy, This is the newest golf club of Sri Lanka, adjoining the spectacular Victoria Dam. The appropriately named Victoria Golf Club has been voted as one of the 100 most beautiful golf courses in the world. The picturesque Victoria Dam borders two thirds of the course and the rest comprises of coconut trees and jungle. The beauty of this course is best seen at dawn and dusk. The morning dew adds a light sheen to the lush green fairways and golfers are treated to a variety of endemic and sometimes migratory birds. Toward late afternoon the breeze picks up and as the sun sets a golden hue washes over the course. Overnight at hotel. Day 7: Kandy / Colombo After breakfast play golf till noon & afternoon leave to Colombo. Overnight at hotel. Day 8: Colombo After breakfast transfer to the golf course to play golf till noon & afternoon / P.M. Return to the hotel for overnight stay.
