Mount Kenya can be hiked all year round but January – February and August – October are more recommended months. These periods have the best weather of less and no rains.
This hiking tour takes you up to point Lenana (4985m), the third highest peak. It is here that hikers have excellent view of the surrounding countryside. Lenena is the most popular point of reach for most Mount Kenya’s mountaineer’s because there are no serious altitudinal issues.
Hiking to Bation and Nelion, which are the highest peaks is organized on request. These points are only recommended for professional mountaineers.
