Ming Dynasty (1368-1644) is the last Dynasty to build the Great Wall. Our Government in 2009 measured Ming Dynasty Great Wall, the total length is 5500 miles/8851.8 kilometers.
Great Wall at Badaling is the best preserved, highest construction quality and most representative section of Ming Dynasty’s Great wall in Beijing, where you can climb and see the wall zigzag on the top of mountains to far and far away, you will doubt how Chinese people can build it.
Great Wall at Mutianyu is the second section opened to the tourists after the Great Wall at Badaling in Beijing, which was repaired and expanded in the Ming Dynasty.
Walking along this wall, you can find out double battements on both sides that is the typical feature of this section different from others. If you don’t want to take cable car up, here it’s the chance for you to climb 1400 steps to reach the Great Wall, that’s a challenging work, this way you can feel more about how hard to build the Great Wall.
