The tour provides hands on experience in selecting foods, handling foods, and preparing them for a meal. Chef Ken Iaci will lead the group.

Itinerary

Day 1 Arrive in Malaga and transfer to Villa Casa Jane at Torrox. Torrox is about 11km from the Mediterranean and the villa provides magnificent views of the sea from the patio. Chef Iaci will prepare dinner for incoming guests. (D)

Day 2 Breakfast is prepared every morning at 06:30. Following breakfast participants will shop with Chef Iaci. On this day we investigate the neighborhood, by traveling to Torrox Costa, which is on the Med. Following lunch we will transfer to Bodegas Bentomiz for a wine tasting. Afterwards we return to the villa to prepare dinner with Chef Iaci. (B, D)

Day 3 We will stay at the villa for the day, having breakfast, shopping, preparing lunch and dinner. At about 4pm a local sommelier will lead us in a wine tasting of the best wines from the DOCa areas of Spain; Ribeiro, Priorat and Rioja. We then prepare dinner with Chef Iaci. (B, L, D)

Day 4 Following breakfast we transfer to Granada where we will have a guided tour of the Alhambra and Generalife. We will have an opportunity to explore the historic part of Granada, have lunch, and on our return to the villa we will stop to have a tour of an Olive Grove. We prepare dinner with Chef Iaci in the evening. (B, D)

Day 5 The day is at leisure. Following breakfast participants will have an opportunity to see other parts of Andalucía, such as Seville, Ronda or Cordoba or stay at the villa and prepare lunch and enjoy the pool. In the evening we prepare dinner with Chef Iaci. (B, L, D)

Day 6 Following breakfast and our shopping we transfer to a local citrus farm for a tour. Following lunch we continue on to Tierras de Mollina for a tour of the vineyard and a wine tasting. We prepare dinner with Chef Iaci. (B, D)

Day 7 Today we will visit Bodega y Vinedos de la Capuchina for a wine tasting. We then transfer to Malaga where we will have a tour of the tapas restaurants of the city. We return to the villa to prepare dinner with Chef Iaci. (B, D)

Day 8 Chef Iaci will provide breakfast for the final morning at the villa. Following breakfast we transfer to Malaga International for our flights home. (B)
