Day 1: arrival - Saigon package tours(-/-/-). On arrival at Tan San Nhat Airport, you are met and transferred to hotel for check in. The bustling Ho Chi Minh City, still called Saigon by many locals, is a center of commerce, finance, culture and tourism in Vietnam. This metropolis, contradiction of its northern counterpart, is crowded with bikes and motorbikes, excited by numerous shopping areas and sidewalk cafes. ( If time permits) we stroll around the down town to explore the different local ways of life. Overnight in Ho Chi Minh City.
Day 2: Saigon full day sightseeing tours (B/L/-).
In the morning, the tour will take you to visit our bustling and friendly city. Your will be excited to view the daily life of local people with the crowded bikes and motorbikes. This tour gives you a chance to exploring the exotic street & sights of business city. Start with Reunification Palace, which is now preserved as a museum, including the underground communications bunkers, headquarters for the Saigon Government during the American War. Nearby are Notre Dame Cathedral - an impressive neo-Romanesque cathedral & Post office – the city’s major landmark. We have a shot walking down the shopping Dong Khoi street offers photo shooting opportunities. After seeing the Jade Emperor Pagoda and the War Remnant Museum, we continue our trip on to the teeming Ben Thanh Market where anything and everything is for sale! It is time for lunch with Pho noodle soup.
In the afternoon we visit Cho Lon – the city’s Chinatown – a reminder of Chinese influence on the country. Cho lon is bustling during the day and night. We will walk down the hundreds of small side street where peole buying and selling a huge variety of items. Stop over at Thien Hau pagoda for photo shooting. What makes Cho Lon so special are the sights and sound of its streets. Back to hotel. Overnight in Ho Chi Minh City.
Day 3: Saigon package tours - Tay Ninh- Cu Chi Tunnels (B/L/-).
The incredible underground network in Cu Chi stretched over 200 kilometres and became legendary during the American war. The extensive tunnels have been specially constructed with living areas, weapon factories, filed hospitals, command centres, plus accommodation. Today we have an excursion to Cu Chi Tunnels to visit an exposition hall and a widened section of the tunnels to get a feel of the underground life. There are also possibilities to fire off rounds from an AK47 or MK16 at the nearby rifle range. Upon leaving Cu Chi we drive a short distance to Tay Ninh, the headquarters of Cao Dai Sect . This religion was founded in 1923 and now numbers over 2 million members. We arrive in time to see the ornate temple of Cao Dai and attend the fantastic mid-day service when the followers fill the hall wearing colored robes. These costumes are a symbol of the curious combination of the Confucianism, Taoism and Buddhism. Overnight in Ho Chi Minh.
Day 4: Saigon package tours - Mekong Delta cruise tours - Can Tho (B/-/-).
In the morning, heading out of town, we travel by roads to the Mekong Delta. This plain region boasts the largest rice bowl of Vietnam. On arrival in My Tho we board a boat navigating around the intricate small canals, which is a great way to observe the local lifestyle close-up and catch a view dotted by many islands. The exciting river trip will pass by the lush green vegetation towards the famous Unicorn Island where we have a chance to stroll around an orchard, taste many seasonal fruits and see farmers at work. We navigate some narrower canals using small rowing boats to Ben Tre Province for an interesting visit to some local industries. The extra enjoyment is a lunch at one of the famous local eating spots.
After lunch at a local restaurant, proceed to Can Tho. Arrive in Can Tho, the city located on Mekong Delta bank. Overnight in Can Tho.
Day 5: Can Tho Cruise Tours – Cai Rang – Chau Doc (B/L/D).
After breakfast, board a sampan to visit Cai Rang floating market and a fruit garden (Ba Cong) and then ride on a “xe loi” (motor cyclo) from Chap Phap Bridge to Binh Thuy Ancient House. Observe the rural life and enjoy the beautiful vegetation along the riverbanks. In the afternoon drive to Chau Doc, near the Cambodian border. On arrival, visit Sam Mountain, a popular pilgrimage site with a host of Chinese, Cham and Khmer temples before checking into your hotel. Overnight in Chau Doc.
Day 6: Chau Doc package tours - Phnom Penh by a speed boat (B/-/-).
After early breakfast at the hotel, we depart from Chau Doc Town around 7 am. We transfer to the boat dock. First we take a ride cruising to a fish farm, and you will hear about the ways of life and doing business of the floating-house people.
A Cham minority village is the next one visited, where a towel weaving workshop is located with the weaving of the colourful traditional wears (Sarongs and towels). We have a chance to learn more about the Mekong delta people on stilted houses, especially Cham ethnic minority people. On arrival at Airport, you will be met and transferred to hotel. This afternoon, discover the Phnom Penh City, visit Wat Phnom, an ancient pagoda stand up on the hill, Independence Monument commemorates the end of Cambodia's ruled by France in 1953, Wat Unalom, the oldest Buddhist foundation in the city, probably predating the abandonment of the capital at Angkor in the 15th century. The founding date is variously cited as 1422 and 1443. This wat is the home to the Buddhist patriarch and then we walk along the riverfront, the confluence of the Tonle Sap, Mekong and Bassac Rivers for taking fresh air. Overnight in Phnom Penh.
Day 7: Phnom Penh – City Tours (B/L).
After breakfast – Continue your city tour: visit the National Museum built in 1917-18 is exclusively dedicated to Khmer arts. Royal Palace built in 1866 and Silver Pagoda located within the Royal Palace compound this morning end your visit to Central Market (Phsar Thmei), this distinctive building is a city landmark & the busiest market in the city with a unique art deco version of a traditional market and the market constructed in 1935-37, during the French colonial period, Phsar Thmey is currently just completed its renovation and become the central section of the main market building displays an amazing collection of gems, jewelry and souvenirs. Then visit the infamous Tuol Sleng Museum and Cheung Ek, better known as the Killing Fields, where large numbers of people were killed and buried in mass graves. Overnight in Phnom Penh.
Day 8: Phnom Penh – Siem Reap (B/D) – Public Bus.
Breakfast at hotel – transfer to Mekong Bus for departure to Siem Reap (07.30 am – 13.30 pm), on arrival your will be met and then transferred direct to hotel for refreshment.
This afternoon, visit the most famous of all the temples on the Angkor plain: Angkor Wat. The temple complex, cover 81 hectares and is comparable in size to the Imperial Palace in Beijing. Its distinctive five towers are emblazoned on the Cambodian flag and the 12th century masterpiece is considered by art historians to be the prime example of classical Khmer art and architecture. Angkor Wat's five towers symbolize Meru's five peaks, the enclosed wall represents the mountains at the edge of the world and the surrounding moat symbolizes the ocean. Tonight enjoy buffet dinner with Apsara Dance Show at local restaurant. Overnight in Siem Riep.
Day 9: Siem Reap – Temples (B/L).
Breakfast at hotel - Continue your visit to the jungle covered temple of Ta Prohm is an incredible sight. There are enormous fig trees and gigantic creepers which embrace themselves in the stone foundations of the structure giving the impression of man's creation being reclaimed by the powerful forces of nature. We explore this masterpiece as well as some of the surrounding temples including Banteay Kdei, Sra Srong, Ta Keo, Thommanon and Chau Say Tevado. Visit the ancient capital of Angkor Thom (12th century); See the South Gate (with its huge statues depicting the churning of the ocean of milk), Bayon Temple (unique for its 54 towers decorated with over 200 smiling faces of Avolokitesvara), the Royal Enclosure, Phimeanakas, the Elephant Terrace and the Terrace of the Leper King. Overnight in Siem Riep.
Day 10: Siem Reap- Bantey Srei – Tonle Sap (B/L).
An early morning – we drive 35 km out of town to visit the famous Banteay Srei (Citadel of Women), we drive back to the sought by visit to Bakong Temple one of among Rolous Group before continue your last trip to Kompong Phluk, one of natural tourisms and a mangroves for hundreds species of fresh water fishes and birds and decorated with ethnic stilted houses line over the water surface up to the air. The villages are primarily Khmer and have about 3000 inhabitants between them, most of who live in stilted houses. The people depend largely on fishing and tourism for their incomes. We embark on the traditional wooden boat through the flooded forests of the Great Tonle Sap Lake, habitat of many bird species it will bring you to Kampong Phluk. This amazing floating village is built on 8 to 10 m high stilts. We visit an island pagoda, a school and traditional stilt houses to interact with the local families. Return to Siem Reap for refreshment. This evening explore Artisan D’ Angkor, home of handicrafts or Old Market for buy souvenirs gifts. Overnight in Siem Riep.
Day 11: Siem Reap – Departure (B).
Breakfast at hotel - transfer to Siem Reap Int’s Airport for departure. End of Service!
