Arrive in Hanoi, the capital of unified Vietnam. The city was founded in 1010 on the right bank of the Red River and was then known as ‘Thang Long’, roughly translated as "Soaring Dragon." Hanoi is one of the most charming cities in South East Asia with its authentic street scenes, large shady avenues, numerous lakes, manicured gardens and well-preserved architecture. Transfer from Noi Bai airport to your hotel. Free time in the evening. Overnight in Hanoi.
Day 2: Hanoi City tour (B/L/-).
Today we commence our sightseeing of Hanoi with the Ho Chi Minh Complex, containing the mausoleum of the nation's founder Ho Chi Minh, the Presidential Palace and the Ho Chi Minh's house on stilts. Close to this complex is the One Pillar Pagoda, whose origins date back to the foundation of Hanoi. Later on, we follow it with a visit to the Temple of Literature, which is well known as the first university of Vietnam and the History Museum with an excellent collection of artifacts illustrating the Vietnamese history. Lunch. In the afternoon, we visit the Ethnology Museum, which showcases Vietnam's different ethnic groups, their history, and customs are explained in photos, videos, and displays of clothing and daily implements. Enjoy your time to learn about 54 ethics in Vietnam. Visit the beautiful Hoan Kiem Lake and Ngoc Son Temple. Hoan Kiem Lake was already considered the most beautiful lake in Hanoi when Ngoc Son Temple was built on an island in the 19th century. We also visit the Old Quarters (36 old streets and guilds), a maze of streets dating back to the 13th century. If time permits, we enjoy a short cyclo ride through the bustling old quarter streets named after the specific goods or tradeonce offered for sale at these places.
Enjoy the evening with a performance of the famous water puppet show. The Vietnamese traditional art of water puppetry has roots that date back to the 10th century when it originated in the Red River Delta area of northern Vietnam. The farmers in the region celebrated festivals and harvests by performing this unique art form. Overnight in Hanoi.
Day 3: Hanoi – Halong Bay (B/L/D).
07:45 - 8h30: Pick you up from your hotel in Hanoi then transfer to Halong city through the paddy field in the Red River Delta.
10:00: Stopover in Hai Duong city where you can experience our hand-made Vietnamese handicraft products
12:00: Arrive Halong Bay and photography time in Halong tourist wharf
12:30: Boarding Royal Heritage Cruise for departure. Welcome drink will be served
13:00: Lunch is served while cruising through the Bai Tu Long bay.
15:15: Visit splendid Surprising Cave (Sung Sot Cave) - This is one of the most beautiful grottos in Halong bay. You will feel surprise about imposing of stalagmites, stalactites and many legend stories about that.
16:15: Time for kayaking around Luon Cave area. You will have got around 45 minutes to explore Halong bay and some tunnels by yourself.
17:00: Back to Royal Heritage Cruise and drop anchor in the calm water surrounded by beautiful islets for swimming.
17:30: Enjoy the complimentary sunset party on the sundeck with green Tea and fresh fruits.
19:00: Dinner is served in the restaurant.
21:00: Take some leisure time to enjoy chatting at the bar or enjoy some night fishing. Relax and spend a romantic night on Royal Heritage Cruise.
Day 4: Halong Bay - Hanoi (B/L/-).
6:30: Start your day with Tai Chi exercises or a photo hunt
7:30: Have breakfast at sunrise
8:30: Continue your cruise to Titov Island
9:15: Back to cruise and exploring the Bay and visit Hoa Cuong fishing Village. Passing Ba Hang fishing village, Ga Choi island, Dinh Huong islet and more….
10:00: Join Vietnamese Cooking class.
10:30: Enjoying a traditional Vietnamese lunch while cruising back through Halong Bay to the pier.
11:30: Disembark at the harbor. Time to say goodbye to the crew.
12:00: Take our shuttle bus to return to Hanoi
16:30: Arrival Hanoi. Free at leisure. Overnight in Hanoi.
Day 5: Hanoi - Departure (B/-/-).
Free at leisure until private transfer to the airport for your onward flight home. Trips end!
