Day 1: Ho Chi Minh City Arrival (-/-/-).
You will be welcomed on arrival at Tan Son Nhat International Airport in Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC). From there, you will be taken to your hotel and then begin your private tour of the city. Ho Chi Minh City (formerly known as Saigon) is the largest and busiest city in Vietnam, with a population of 7 million people. Much of daily life takes place on the streets, which are lined with shops, stalls and vendors with their wares spread out on the footpaths. You will have the chance to see the bustling Ben Thanh Market, the War Remnants Museum, the Reunification Palace and Notre Dame Cathedral. Overnight in Ho Chi Minh city.
Day 2: Mekong Delta excursion to My Tho (B/L/-).
You will leave Ho Chi Minh City and travel to lush My Tho, where you will cruise on a private boat through the green vegetation lining the canals. You will stop at an orchard, where you will be treated to a delicious lunch in a local restaurant. The Mekong Delta is the southernmost region of Vietnam and is often referred to as the rice bowl of Vietnam since it produces three crops of rice per year. The fertile delta is also famous for its tropical fruits and flowers. The delta sits at the end of a 4,500 km journey along the Mekong River, which snakes through six countries. Traditional transportation in the Delta is by boat, along a vast network of canals and channels. Boating along these canals and visiting the floating markets always proves to be a fascinating and rewarding experience for our visitors. Overnight in Ho Chi Minh city
Day 3: Ho Chi Minh City - Cu Chi - Tay Ninh (B/L/-).
Breakfast. Transfer to visit Cu Chi Tunnels (70 km northwest of Ho Chi Minh City), an amazing complex of underground tunnels used during Vietnam War. There are more than 200 km of tunnels, comprising a main axis system with many branches connecting to underground hideouts, shelters and other tunnels. You have the chance to crawl through this amazing system of tunnels. This main axis system has many branches connecting to underground hideouts, shelters, and entrances to other tunnels. The network included innumerable trap doors, specially constructed living areas, storage facilities, weapons factories, field hospitals, command centers and kitchens. Today, the remaining tunnels have become a major tourist attraction, giving you a unique experience and a feel of what underground life must have been like during the U.S.-Vietnam War. Proceed to Tay Ninh, the centre of the Cao-Dai religion founded in 1926, a combination of Buddhism, Christianity, Taoism and Confucianism. You will have the opportunity to watch the worshippers in their white long tunics during noon mass. Return to Ho Chi Minh. Overnight in Ho Chi Minh city
