Upon arrival at Noi Bai airport, you will be transferred to hotel. Ha Noi, Vietnam’s capital, is one thousand year old city with peaceful lakes, French styled buildings, old quarter streets, three lined boulevards, brightly painted temples and pagodas. The afternoon is free to enjoy at your leisure. Dinner at a nice local restaurant in Hanoi. Overnight in Hanoi.
Day 2: Hanoi City tour (B/L/D)
Enjoy a guided city tour of Hanoi, also known as the “Paris of the East.” Visit the city’s most important historical attractions such as Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, the Temple of Literature well known as Vietnam’s first university, One Pillar Pagoda, the Fine Art Museum and the beautiful lake of Hoan Kiem with its sacred temple. A traditional cyclo tour through the narrow, ancient streets of the exotic Old Quarter is a great way to soak up the sights and sounds. Enjoy Water Puppet Show in the afternoon before dinner. Overnight in Hanoi.
Day 3: Hanoi – Halong Bay (B/L/D)
The following morning depart for Halong Bay, around a four hour drive from Hanoi. Ha Long Bay boasts one of Vietnam’s most impressive scenic sights. You are sure to enjoy an overnight cruise on a traditional junk through the thousands of limestone islands. Have lunch on the boat where you will be satisfied by many kinds of seafood. After lunch we will have a great opportunity to explore the picturesque scenery blending with the sky and some 3,000 limestone islands rising amazingly from the clear and emerald water. Visit caves and floating fishing villages, go kayaking in secluded lagoons and swim. Enjoy an exotic overnight cruise on Halong Bay. Overnight on junks.
Day 4: Halong – Hanoi – Da Nang – Hoi An (B/L)
Wake up the next morning at sunrise, feel the early morning salt water scent; bask in the early sun rising from behind the mountains. This morning we will continue to visit the beautiful grotto and other area of Halong Bay. It is a great time for you spend the time together in the great nature of the bay. Have lunch on boat before checking out the boat to back to Ha Noi for a short flight to Danang. Transfer by car to Hoian. Overnight in Hoian.
Day 5: Hoian – Tra Que Village (B/L/D)
In the morning, ride a bicycle to a local farm in Tra Que village. You will have opportunity to talk on the art of Vietnamese gastronomy, vegetables, herbs and spices and how to prepare and use them. You also join the farmers in preparing the land and fertilizing it with seaweed from the local lake. Continue doing activities such as: raking, sowing, water greens, picking greens and many more gardening activities. Then spend the rest of the morning working the land in the time honored way, before breaking to prepare lunch with a local family. Afternoon, back to Hoian, this is free time for enjoying the town which lot of tailors, riverside cafe, restaurants in old houses. Hoian is still one of the most attractive tourist spots after a long time. Overnight in Hoian.
Day 6: Hoian free day (B)
Free at leisure in Hoi An. Overnight at your hotel in Hoi An.
Day 7: Hoian – Danang – Saigon (B/L/D)
Drive to Danang for your short flight to Ho Chi Minh City, formerly Saigon; the cosmopolitan heart of Vietnam. Soak up the exotic atmosphere of this frenetic city with a guided tour of the main highlights, including Independence Palace and the War Museum, Notre Dame Cathedral, Old Saigon Post Office, and the bustling Chinatown. In the evening enjoy a dinner cruise on the Saigon River. Overnight in Saigon.
Day 8: Saigon – Cu Chi Tunnel – Saigon (B/L/D)
After breakfast, visit the tunnel of Cu Chi – an incredible underground tunnel network constructed by Vietnamese resistance fighters during the struggle for independence. The tunnels contained hospitals, plus accommodation and schools, and were used as a military base for the Vietcong in the American war. You will return to Sai Gon in the afternoon. The rest of time is free for us to explore Saigon at our own pace. Overnight in Sai Gon.
Day 9: Saigon – Vinh Long – Cai Be Floating market – Saigon (B/L/D)
After have breakfast, we depart for Cai Be around 3 hrs driving. On our dedicated bus you can see the green paddy fields stretching towards the horizontal. When you arrive Cai Be, you’ll board a motorized boat that takes you to the floating market and spend 1 hr there for an interaction that you’ll see nowhere else in the world.
Next, your row boat will zigzag thru a maze of shadow canals to arrive at a great orchard where you can freely taste many famous tropical fruits of Vietnam and watch locals’ daily chores.
Then you will see how coconut candy, crispy rice cake and cereamic are made here (served free with premium hot tea.)
After this, you will ride bicycles and roaming through a village to check out several rural shops or you can relax on a hammock for a short rest. Back to Saigon for leisure and overnight.
Day 10: Saigon Departure (B)
There is a free time to relax or further explore Saigon. The tour ends after your transfer to Tan San Nhat Airport for departure.
