Your tour to Burma (presently Myanmar) starts and ends in Yangon. During the tour you will also visit Mandalay, the second largest city and the former royal capital of Myanmar. Hence you must expect very beautiful architecture which makes this city truly ‘royal’. You will go to other places like Bagan, Kalaw, Pindaya, Heho and Inle Lake.
Tour Itinerary
Day 1: Yangon
Arrival in Yangon. You will be met and transferred to the hotel. Later begin sightseeing with a visit to the Shwedagon Pagoda to see the sunset.
Day 2: Yangon
More sightseeing in Yangon including the Sule, Botataung and Kyaukhtatkyi Pagodas. You will also have a visit to the National Museum.
Day 3: Bagan
Today you will be transferred to airport for the short flight to Bagan. On arrival check in to the hotel then begin sightseeing in Bagan including some of the most impressive pagodas and temples in the area.
Day 4: Bagan - Mandalay
Continue sightseeing in Bagan before the journey by road to Mandalay. On arrival check-in to the hotel.
Day 5: Mandalay
Sightseeing in Mandalay includes Kuthodaw Paya and the breathtaking views from the top of Mandalay Hill.
Day 6: Mandalay
Today you have an excursion to ancient Inwa (Ava), Sagaing and Amarapura to see the impressive sites of times gone by before returning to Mandalay for overnight.
Day 7: Mandalay - Meikhtila - Kalaw
Today you go by road from Mandalay to Meikthila for sightseeing, then on to Kalaw where you will overnight.
Day 8: Kalaw - Pindaya - Inle Lake
On the road again today to Pindaya where you will visit the Cave complex and a local market and paper umbrella factory. From there on to Inle Lake where you will stay tonight.
Day 9: Inle Lake - Heho – Yangon
A highlight today as you take a leisurely boat trip on Inle Lake. You will see the unique "leg-rowers" of the area as well as experience a taste of local life on the water. Afterwards by road from Inle Lake to Heho for the short flight back to Yangon and transfer to the hotel on arrival.
Day 10: Yangon
Transfer to airport for you r departure flight or continue with an extension to some of the other nearby Indochina countries.
