Day 1: After your flight arrives in Dubrovnik, we will have someone meet you at the airport and bring you to your centrally located Dubrovnik accommodation. Our representative will then meet with you to answer any questions you have and to get you settled for the rest of your trip.
Day 2: Dubrovnik has many highlights to explore, but it is also worthwhile to see the surrounding region, and even neighboring countries. On your first day, we will arrange for a private guide to meet you at your accommodation and make sure you see the city highlights. After that you'll want to be sure to walk around the city walls, take a short boat ride to the National Park on Lokrum Island, or perhaps a cable car ride above the city to Mount Srd.
Day 3: Dubrovnik's location in the far south of the country close to the border with Montenegro means it's not far at all to the stunning Bay of Kotor and our group day trip there includes all the main sights of arguably the most beautiful part of Montenegro. Hvar (3 nights).
Day 4: A full day of beautiful views and historic sightseeing is ahead of you. Based on your morning departure time preference, a private driver will pick you up at your Dubrovnik accommodation and bring you by van to Hvar. You'll enjoy spectacular views of the Dalmatian coast all the way to the island. Before arriving however, you'll take a detour into Bosnia & Herzegovina to visit the unique old city of Mostar and see the famously reconstructed bridge. To ensure you truly benefit from this stop, we will arrange for a local guide to give you a couple hour city tour before lunch. It'll then be back in the van to continue the journey to Hvar. Upon arriving in Hvar, you will be brought directly to your accommodation.
Day 5: There's so much to explore on Hvar island and the best way to see it is with an Off-Road Tour. You'll be driven through typical old villages, see outstanding scenery and capture the authentic Dalmatian charm of the island! Experience the untouched nature, climb the hills for beautiful panoramic views and then descend through olive groves and vineyards to the coast. You will stop for lunch in one of these traditional villages and taste the fine produce of Europe's sunniest island.
Day 6: Hvar is one of our favorite places to kick back and relax and that's exactly what you can do today. It's a free day to spend at your leisure. You could charter a boat for the day and explore the Pakleni archipelago or just take a water taxi to one of the beaches on the islands. Trogir (1 night).
Day 7: A taxi will bring your from your Hvar accommodation to the port where you'll enjoy a quick 1 hour ferry ride to Split. When you arrive at the port in Split, we recommend storing your bags nearby so you are free to explore the Old Town. We'll arrange for a private guide to show you the city highlights and then based on your time preference, we'll have someone pick you up and take you to Trogir, your next overnight destination. We often have clients stay in Trogir as it is a bit more charming and authentic than Split. Plitvice (1 night).
Day 8: After you've wandered around tiny Trogir, we'll for arrange a rental car to be delivered to your accommodation for your use for the rest of the trip. The car will be a manual transmission, but we can arrange for an automatic. We can also arrange for a GPS to be provided at an additional fee. You are then off to the amazing Plitvice National Park. Rovinj (3 nights)
Day 9: Depending on if you've seen enough of Pltivice the previous day, you can either depart for Rovinj in the morning or spend some more time exploring the park and head out mid-afternoon. Along the way, be sure to stop in the picturesque seaside resort of Opatija. You'll want to stroll along the famous boardwalk and perhaps enjoy a nice lunch followed by a drive along the breathtaking Kvarner Bay.
After your sight seeing stops, you'll probably arrive in Rovinj in the late afternoon, perfect to check in to your accommodation. Relax after your drive with an evening stroll around Old Town and the lively harbor area.
Day 10: Day one in Rovinj should definitely be spent discovering the city's secrets - the Old Town and its winding alleyways. Get up high for a view by climbing the St. Euphemia Tower and hikers or bikers should definitely take the opportunity to explore Zlatni Rt. park.
Day 11: On your second full day, get out of town and explore the wonderful Istrian countryside. Full of picturesque hillside villages, two of our favorites are Grozjnan and Motovun. Other great visits of a more historical nature include the towns of Pula and Porec.
Ljubljana (3 nights)
Day 12: Take advantage of the easy drive ahead of you today, and plan for a couple stops along the way. An ideal break between Rovinj and Ljubljana is the Postojna caves. We recommend taking a tour, as well as visiting the nearby Predjama castle. It's built into the side of a cliff, so is truly a sight to see.
An evening arrival to Ljubljana is most likely, especially if you stopped to explore some sights along the way. After checking in to your accommodation, relax and enjoy Ljubljana's beautiful Old Town evening atmosphere.
Day 13: It may be cliché, but Ljubljana never fails to win people over with her charm and beauty. The majority of the Old Town has been converted to pedestrian-only zones so it's easy to explore the highlights on foot. We've arranged for you to have a private walking tour to make sure you don't miss a thing. A visit to the castle with its spectacular views and a stroll along the river are just two of the city's must-sees. Ljubljana has a wonderful restaurant and cafe scene, and many great places are riverside.
Day 14: Slovenia is small, so it's easy to explore. From Ljubljana, our top recommendation is a day trip to Bled. Spend the afternoon enjoying the gorgeous lake and medieval castle. If you are ambitious, you can also take in Lake Bohinj and the Vintgar Gorge which are both about a 15 minute drive from Bled.
Day 15: You will head straight to the Zagreb airport, a 1.5 hour drive from Ljubljana, and return your rental car there before catching your flight.
