Take part in our hiking tour and explore the Slovak treasure - High Tatras. After completion of several conditions during the tour you will gain the Tatra Tourist Badge. The tradition of the badge goes back to the 20th century, as the best hikers were rewarded with the badge, based on their performances while hiking and trekking in mountains. Now the tradition was recovered by the popular demand and you have the special possibility of gaining the Badge with our support.

The conditions consist of visiting of:
- the high-elevation chalets standing in the deep valleys,
- Belianska cave, which is the only public open cave in High Tatras,
- the museum of Tatra national park or Ski Museum in Tatranska Lomnica.

Day 1: Arrive in Tatranska Lomnica either individual or with the transfer from the chosen airport or another place. The accommodation is provided in Tatranska Lomnica. In the evening you will have a dinner and get information about the tour at the welcome meeting.

Day 2: We will take the tram to Štrbské pleso, where we will start our first easy hike to The Chalet under Solisko. This chalet is situated above the settlement Štrbské pleso in the height of 1 840 m. a.s.l. From the chalet you can see the whole mountain range Low Tatras. We will also walk around the famous Štrbské glacier lake.

- Hiking Time: 6 – 7 hrs.

Day 3: The goal of the second day is the cult peak Rysy with the altitude of 2 500 m. a.s.l. Rysy belongs to the most visited peaks of High Tatras, because the view from Rysy is one of the most stunning. By the way to Rysy we will visit and rest at 3 chalets. The Chalet under Rysy (2 250 m. a.s.l.), The Chalet by the Popradske glacier lake (1 490 m. a.s.l.) and The Majlath´s Chalet (1 490 m. a.s.l.). The hike to the peak Rysy belongs to the difficult ones, so its reaching is not a must.

- Hiking Time: 9 – 10 hrs.

Day 4 – Rest day: After difficult hike to peak Rysy, is this day meant as a rest day, therefore we will visit only the Belianska cave, as it is one of the conditions for gaining the Badge. Despite of the unbelievable amount of approximately 6 200 caves in Slovakia, in High Tatras there is only this one public opened. Later that day, we will also visit the museum of Tatra National Park directly in Tatranska Lomnica. In the evening you can

Day 5: We will start the fifth day with the visiting of Skalnatá chata (The Rocky chalet). This chalet is situated by the Skalnaté pleso (Skalnaté glacier lake), which we will reach with the lift. From Skalnaté pleso we will hike to the peak Veľká svišťovka with magnificent views and the altitude of 2 023 m. a.s.l. and then we will go down to the beautiful Valley of Green glacier lake. Right by the lake stands The Chalet by the Green glacier lake, surrounded by monumental peaks.

- Height Gain: 2 020 m
- Hiking Time: 5 – 6 hrs.

Day 6: On this day we will ascend to the Chalet Plesnivec (Chalet Edelweiss), which is standing under giant limestone peaks. If we are lucky, we will catch a glimpse of the Tatra chamoix, as they are numerous in this area. Based on your wishes, we can choose from 2 ways, how to undertake the hike to the chalet.

- Hiking time: 5 – 6 hrs.

Day 7 – Rest day: After exhausting program during last days, today you will have the possibility to rest again and choose, what would you like to do. We can visit UNESCO world heritage site Spišský hrad (Spiš castle) with the town Levoča; medieval Castle in Stará Ľubovňa or raft the river Dunajec on traditional wooden rafts called “plť”.

Day 8: During last 2 days we will discover the Small and the Great cold valleys. At first we will hike in the Small cold valley with visiting of the Tery´s chalet wint an altitude of 2 015 m. a.s.l. The chalet is the highest situated chalet, which is opened during the whole year. The five Spiš glacier lakes in the surroundings of the chalet create wonderful scenery.

- Hiking time: 6 – 7 hrs.

Day 9: The last day we will go through the Great cold valley to the Zbojnicka chalet in the altitude of 1 960 m. a.s.l. This valley hides the most amount of glacier lakes in all Tatra valleys. You can find there 22 lakes. We will walk up through coniferous forests, we will pass lakes and waterfalls.

- Hiking time: 5 – 6 hrs.

Day 10: Individual departure, or transfer to airport or another place upon request.
