Day 1: Arrival Santiago. Welcome to Santiago’s International Airport. Private meet & greet after immigration and transfer to the hotel. For those who arrive in the morning lunch will be provided. In the afternoon we will embark on an afternoon city sightseeing walking tour. We will use the local underground and fully escorted by a local guide. In the evening the rest of the group should had arrived and well go to a local restaurant for a welcome dinner. Overnight in Santiago at Hotel The Singular Santiago or similar.
Day 2: Colchagua Valley. Scrumptious breakfast this morning before we depart to the Colchagua Valley. On the way down we’ll visit a local hacienda for as well as two wineries. We’ll have lunch in the vineyards before heading to the town of Santa Cruz to relax for the afternoon or take a look around the town. BBQ dinner at the Hotel. Overnight at Hotel Blend or similar.
Day 3: Colchagua Valley to Easter Island. Early morning relax yoga before coffee, juice and fruit before departure. We’ll have a box breakfast supplied on the bus whilst on transfer to the airport for our departure to spiritual Easter Island. The flight takes almost six hours and we travel with time so today will be a long day. Lunch is served on the Boeing 787 dreamliner and we will arrive approximately 1pm local time. We’ll have a local welcome reception at the Easter Island’s airport with necklace of flowers and private transfer to our hotel for some light refreshments. In the afternoon we will embark on an excursion to Ahu Akivi (restored, 7 moais), see the Ana Te Pahu Cave, Ahu Tepeu (not restored) and the topknot Quarry Puna Pau, and then return to the hotel. This evening we will eat a healthy menu at a locally owned and operated restaurant that use fresh, healthy local produce. Overnight Hotel Altiplanico Rapa Nui or similar.
Day 4: The Ngo Toki Rapa Nui Project. Early morning yoga before breakfast at our hotel. We will meet an organisation member and be transferred to the centre for Volunteering works. Toki Rapa Nui- an integral organization which seeks constructive change on Easter Island- was conceived in 2010 by a group of nine young Easter Island professionals from dysfunctional families who by all logic should never have been successful but are and have bought their heart and ideas back to their community. Easter Island, six hours flight to the nearest civilisation, where do they put their rubbish. Up until a few years ago it was fairly grim. But now, this project builds structure out of rubbish and we’ll be working with the community to do this. Structures which use solar panels or windmills and collect-recycle rain water “Earthships” have extensive thermal mass and don’t require heating in cold climates. Walls are constructed with old tires, glass and plastic bottles, and soft drink cans. In the afternoon we will transfer back to our hotel for some before dinner natural spa treatments of choice. We will have a special healthy meal cooked for us this evening by a local family who may also join us. Overnight Hotel Altiplanico Rapa Nui or similar.
Day 5: The Ngo Toki Rapa Nui Project. Early morning yoga before breakfast at our hotel. We will meet an organisation member and be transferred to the centre for Volunteering works for our second day of volunteering with the community and other like minded volunteers. In the afternoon we will transfer back to our hotel for some spa treatments of choice. This evening we will eat a healthy menu at a locally owned and operated restaurant that used fresh, healthy local produce. Overnight Hotel Altiplanico Rapa Nui or similar.
Day 6: Island Sightseeing. Early morning yoga, we will all start to become very good at it by this stage. We then have breakfast at our hotel. We have a full day sighseeing delight today visiting Ahus Vaihu and Akahanga (not restored) at the south coast, Rano Raraku, Ahu Tongariki (restored with 15 Moais). Continue to Ahu Te Pito Kura and "Navel of the World" to end at Anakena with its Ahu Nau Nau, there have the opportunity to enjoy the warm Pacific Ocean. We return to the hotel in the Late afternoon. This evening we will eat a healthy menu at a locally owned and operated restaurant that used fresh, healthy local produce. Overnight Hotel Altiplanico Rapa Nui or similar.
Day 7: More Island Sightseeing. Early morning yoga before breakfast at our hotel. In the morning we will enjoy a private excursion to Rano Kau, visit Crater Lake and ceremonial village Orongo, where the birdman competition took place. Drive to Ahu Vinapu (not restored) and the Ana Kai Tangata cave. Well arrive back to the hotel for lunch but walk to a nearby restaurant for a healthy organic locally grown meal. After lunch we will walk back to the hotel for an afternoon of leisure. Included in the afternoon are natural spa or massage treatments. This evening we will eat a healthy menu at a locally owned and operated restaurant that used fresh, healthy local produce. Overnight Hotel Altiplanico Rapa Nui or similar.
Day 8: Easter Island to Santiago. Our last early morning session of Yoga this morning. A special session as a community chief will be present to give individual spiritual blessings. We have the morning free before an early light lunch before we head to Easter Island airport for our flight back to Santiago. We will arrive late thiis Overnight at Hotel Hilton Garden Inn or similar.
Day 9: Departure from Santiago. Breakfast at our hotel today before your flight back home or onwards to your next destination. Transfer included to the airport. Note: Every tour is guaranteed with two or more participants. For groups of less than six people, there is no group escort. Itinerary will run the same but with capable English speaking local guides.
Note: No surcharge for payments made by American Express. Fresh local foods, absolutely no fried food is served during these tours but included is a glass of wine with every evening meal.
