Tour Itinerary:

- Maipo Valley Half Day, 1 winery. It's located 50 minutes away of South East of Santiago. Following the current of Maipo River and joining with the Metropolitan Region we find one of the most traditional viticultural zone of the country and where it were founded the first vineyards.
Its natural limits are, by the east, Andes Mountain, and by the west, Coastal Mountains; it has a natural decline from east, 1000 m Above Sea Level (3,281 fasl) descending to west, 500 m asl(1,640 fasl). Actually the total surface of vine cultivated is about 2,700 hectares, 1,500 h for red wine grapes and 1,200 h for white wine grapes. It was in this valley, where it was discovered at beginning of the 1990’s, the famous grape, “Carmenere”, that, actually, it is cultivated only in Chile in an industrial way. Many enologists believed it extinguished since the years 1800’s. We will visit only 1 winery in the morning (11:00 &/or 12:30) (Wine tasting in the vineyard not included). Stop for lunch (Not included, Optional). Then back to Hotel.

- Casablanca Valley, 3 wineries. It's located 50 minutes away of West of Santiago on the way to Valparaiso Toward Valparaiso we can stop by the way (route 68) at Casablanca Valley is famous for the ocean influence. Its soil receives abundant coastal breezes giving place to a perfect clime with medium warm annual temperature of 14°c (57°f). This characteristic makes this valley good to produce white wine, specially … Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, and Gewurztraminer and It's still possible to develop new options as Pinot Noir, the White Red Wine. We will visit 2 wineries in the morning (10:30 &/or 12:30), Stop for lunch, 1 winery in the afternoon (16:30). (Wine tasting in the vineyard not included)

- Aconcagua Valley, 3 wineries. The Aconcagua Valley, 120 km (74 ml) North of Santiago, has a Mediterranean climate with warm summers that are cooled by breezes of the Pacific Ocean and its cold Humboldt Current. Average high temperatures in the period of January-March is 30°c (87°f) while the average low is 9°c (48°f) with thermal oscillation of 21°c(71°f). The valley is characterised by a long growing season allowing for late ripening of the fruit which enhances the flavours, intensity and concentration of our wines. Errázuriz – Von Siebenthal – San Esteban - Sánchez de Loria – El Almendral, etc.

- San Antonio Valley, 3 wineries. Corresponds to one of the youngest wine valleys of the country. The vineyards come in 1997 and in less than a decade, created four vineyards, which have given this area its own identity as a producer of premium wines. San Antonio's landscape is characterized by numerous hills and slopes with granite and clay soils of the Cordillera de la Costa, sectors that are head-cold winds from the Pacific. This exposes the wine to strong ocean breezes produce small clusters require that mature slowly, but with higher concentrations of flavor and aroma. These conditions are very favorable for stocks like Sauvignon Blanc, which is expressed by a character in the area, developing a great freshness. Temperate conditions during the spring and summer are perfect for producing Chardonnay. Have also introduced other varieties such as Syrah, obtaining excellent results. - Cachapoal Valley, 3 wineries. It extends from the city of San Fernando in the north to the south of Chimbarongo. It is the valley cradle of the chilean peasant traditions, where it is common to find the classic “Huaso” (Cowboy) wearing a poncho and chupalla (hat), and riding a horse.
Its singular geography marked by two major mountain ranges that extend from the Andes to the sea, forming an ideal corridor for winds coming from the mountains and the sea. These regulate the temperatures in the valley. The vineyards are located mainly around the city of San Fernando and then to the coast, located at the valley, these soils are considered the most fertile and where it feels hotter. In recent years there have been planting in the foothills of mountain ranges, after searching more conducive soil. We will visit 2 wineries in the morning (10:30 &/or 12:00), stop for lunch, 1 winery in the afternoon (16:00). (Wine tasting in the vineyard not included).

- Colchagua Valley, 3 wineries. It located 2:30 hrs away of Valparaiso or from Santiago. Red wines are the best of the center are of the country. Their grapes are irrigated by the river Tinguiririca, which crosses the valley from east to west, and the ripening of fruits is regulated by the sea winds from the West. The Coastal Range is no more than 500 meters high and the horizon is perceived as a series of rolling hills. La Cordillera de Los Andes, meanwhile, is steep to 4500 meters, serving as a barrier that contains the sea breeze, which finally remained in circulation. The first farms in the area were built in the seventeenth century, principally engaged in farming and ranching. And in the nineteenth century made their first appearance vines, building the perfect balance of sun and rain. The valley is about 29 kilometers from north to south and has 16,848 hectares of crops, which have been distributed in more than 20 wineries, producing over 10 million liters annually. This concentration of vineyards for creating the first wine route, in a joint initiative between the major wineries in the region.
