Tour Itinerary:

Day 1: Arrival at Addis Ababa Bole International Air port. Meet and greet you at exit of luggage claim and transfer you to the hotel.Overnight stay in Bole Ambassador Hotel, Addis Ababa.

Day 2: Addis Ababa City Tour. You will have an early breakfast and your first visit in Addis Ababa will be the National Museum. It houses numerous antiquarian relics and archaeological artifacts (most famous exhibit is the 3.5 million year old skeleton of Lucy). Then you will continue to visit Mount Entoto (3,200 above sea level. The Church of St Mary (1885) and Emperor Menelik II Palace. The Entoto Museum, with its historical exhibits is well worth a visit. Lunch at Lucy Restaurant. After lunch you will visit Trinity Cathedral. It was constructed by Emperor Haile Selassie in 1947 (ornamented with carvings and mosaic and other artistic works such as paintings of saints and the apostles on the stained glass) and visit Merkato, the largest open market in Africa. In the evening, you will have dinner at the hotel and you will rest. Overnight stay in Bole Ambassador Hotel, Addis Ababa.

Day 3: Drive to Awassa / Hawassa. In the morning after breakfast, you will drive to Awassa (275 Km from Addis). En route, you will visit Lake Abijatta-Shala National Park, Lake Shala (a very deep crater lake - over 260 meters deep) and Lake Abiatta (a soda lake with thousands of flamingos). You will have lunch in Awassa (Hawassa). You will be arriving in Awassa in the afternoon and check into a hotel. Later, you can walk along the lake shore for nice evening sunset and aquatic birds such as; Saddle-billed stork, herons, darters and Wood hoope. You will have dinner and spend the night at the hotel.Overnight stay in Oasis International Hotel, Awassa.

Day 4: Drive to Arba Minch through Wolayta Sodo. In the morning after breakfast, you will drive to Arba Minch (330 Km from Yirega Alem). On the visit the scenic morning Fish market in Awassa. Then you will drive to Arba Minch (280 Km from Awassa). On the way you will visit Senkelle Wildlife Sanctuary (90 Km from Awassa, well-known for endemic and endangered subspecies of Swayne’s Hartebeest) and you will stop for lunch at Wolayta (154 Km from Awassa). You will be arriving in Arba Minch late afternoon and check into a lodge. You will have dinner and spend the night at the lodge. Overnight stay in Paradise or Swaynes Lodge.

Day 5: Visit Nech Sar National Park and drive to Dorze. In the morning, after breakfast you will take a boat ride on Lake Chamo and visit to huge crocodiles, hippos, a variety of birdlife and you will also visit to the nearby Nech Sar National Park (a natural habitat for many wild animals: Zebra, Gazelle, & Antelope etc.). You will have lunch in Arba Minch. After a brief break you will drive to Dorze (50 Km from Arba Minch) visit the Dorze village (famous for their bee hive shaped houses, weaving styles and their lifestyle). Late in the afternoon drive back to Arba Minch. You will have dinner and spend the night at the lodge. Overnight stay in Paradise or Swaynes Lodge.

Day 6: Drive to Jinka via Key afar. In the morning, you will have breakfast and drive to Jinka (270 Km from Arba Minch). And upon arrival at Konso (90 Km from Arba Minch), you will visit to the Konso Village (famous for their colorfully costumed dresses, impressive terracing of land - recently registered as World heritage by UNESCO, and engraved wooden statues grave markers). You will have lunch at Konso. Then you will be driven to Jinka and check into a resort. You will have dinner and spend the night at the resort.Overnight stay in Jinka Resort or Jinka Eco-Omo Lodge.

Day 7: Excursion to Mursi village through Mago National Park. In the morning after breakfast, you will be driven to Mursi (55 Km from Jinka) and visit to the of Mursi tribe village (popularly known for their attractive culture, women wearing large clay plates into their lower lips). Then you will drive back to Jinka for lunch. After lunch, you will visit to the nearby Ari village and museum in Jinka. Dinner will be at the resort and you will spend the night at the resort. Overnight stay in Jinka Resort or Jinka Eco-Omo Lodge.

Day 8: Drive to Turmi, Hammer tribe town. After breakfast you will be driven to Turmi (142 Km from Jinka), visiting an interesting village on the way. Upon arrival in Turmi check into a lodge. You will have lunch in Turmi. After a brief break you will then walk to the non-touristicHammer Village to explore the Hammer tribes (best known for elaborate hairstyles, body painting using clays and vegetable pigments to make fantastic patterns on their faces, chests, arms and legs), attend the bull jumping – if possible and available with luck.

Day 9: Excursion to Omorate to visit Dassench/Geleb tribe. An early morning drive will take you to Omorate to visit the Dassench/Geleb tribe (75 Km from Turmi). From there, you will take a boat trip on the Omo River and visit the Dassench/Geleb village.

Then you will get back to Turmi for lunch. You will then walk to the non-touristicHammer Village to explore the Hammer tribes (best known for elaborate hairstyles, body painting using clays and vegetable pigments to make fantastic patterns on their faces, chests, arms and legs), attend the bull jumping – if possible and available with luck. In the evening, you will be driven back to the lodge for dinner and spend the night at the lodge. Overnight stay in Turmi or Buska Lodge.

Day 10: Excursion to Murille to visit Karo tribe. An early morning drive will take you to Murille to visit the Karo tribe (62 Km from Turmi). You will visit the Karo village. You will have a picnic lunch. Then you will get back to Turmi for lunch. In the afternoon you will have free or follow your own program. In the evening, you will be driven back to the lodge for dinner and spend the night at the lodge. Overnight stay in Turmi or Buska Lodge.

Day 11: Drive to Yabelo through Arebore-Tsmaye. After breakfast, you will be driven to Yabelo (290 Km from Turmi) via Arebore-Tsmaye. On the way visit the Arebore & Tsmaye villages. With a stop for lunch at Konso, you will proceed driving to Yabelo and arrive early evening. You will check into a hotel, you will have dinner and you will spend the night there. Overnight stay in Yabelo Motel.

Day 12: Drive to Yirega Alem. After breakfast, you will be driven to Yirega Alem (240 km from Yabelo). On the way you will visit the Yirega Chieffe garden Coffee.You will have lunch in Dila (180 Km from Yabelo). On arrival check in to the lodge. After a brief break explore the surrounding Sidama Village and its organic garden coffee. Overnight stay in Aregash Lodge.

Day 13: Drive back to Addis Ababa. After breakfast, you will be driving to Addis Ababa (325 Km from Yireg Alem). You will stop for lunch at Lake Langano, Sabana Beach Resort. Finally you will be taken to a farewell dinner to Ethiopian (Habesha 2000 or YOD Abyssinia) traditional restaurant where you will taste Ethiopian food & drinks and a live music and dance. Then depending on your scheduled flight; you will be transferred out to Bole International Airport for return flight back home.
