Day 1: Nairobi - Lake Nakuru National Park. After breakfast, you will depart for Lake Nakuru National Park home of the pink flamingos, other birds and wildlife for a game drive. The game drive will take us to the shoreline for a short stretch up with a beautiful background of flamingos and pelicans. We also stand the best chance of seeing both the black and the white rhinos. We will later drive to the lodge for lunch and then a short rest. We will go out again for an afternoon game drive in search of more wildlife. We will return to Sarova Lion Hill for dinner and the night. Meal Plan: (L, D).
Day 2: Lake Nakuru - Kisumu. After an early breakfast we will leave the lodge for our last game drive as we leave Lake Nakuru park for a long drive to the lakeside city of Kisumu. We will have several stopovers on our way with the most notable one being at the tea belt zone in Kericho. We will again stop on the plains of Nyanza for sugar cane and the rice fields. Our arrival in Kisumu is after lunch where after checking in at the hotel we will enjoy the afternoon while exploring the local sights and sounds of Kisumu namely the market, the museum and the Hippo Point. Back to Impala Eco Lodge hotel for dinner and the night. Meal plan: (B, L, D).
Day 3: Kisumu - Kit Mikayi - Alego Kogelo. This morning we will depart Kisumu very early for "Kit Mikayi" (in the local Luo dialect the Stone of the "first wife") Kenya’s most dramatic archaeological site, a vast granite rock towering 80 feet tall. From Kit Mikayi we will drive to Kogelo Village to visit the grandparents’ home of the 44th President of the United State Of America, His Excellency President Barack Hussein Obama. We are here for a one on one interaction with the mostly celebrated Mama Sarah Obama. We will then leave Alego Kogelo for the oxbow Lake Kanyaboli nature reserve and the expansive Yala swamp which is inhabited by numerous species of birds and fish. We will proceed from here to a local primary school to donate some books to pupils and students from this humble background. Later on we will drive back to Alego for a home stay accommodation. Day 4: Alego - Kit Mikaye - Ramogi Hills. We will this morning leave Alego for the shoreline of Lake Victoria in Osieko beach where we will see islands in Uganda as we stand on the Kenya’s soil. We will continue with a drive to Ramogi Hills for picnic lunch while we enjoy some great views on this sacred hill that is very significant in Luo’s tribe. The views from here are awesome and so are butterflies and birds. From Ramogi hills we will drive back to Alego for a home stay accommodation. Meal Plan: (B, L, D).
Day 5: Alego - Rusinga Island. This morning we will leave Alego after an early breakfast for a drive to Luanda Kotieno. We will cross the wild Lake Victoria by ferry for Mbita point and then s drive through the causeway to the Rustic Rusinga Island Lodge where we will enjoy our lunch then a short rest. In the afternoon we will visit the home of Tom Joseph Mboya where his mausoleum lies on the family land at Kamasengere Village. We will later drive back to Rusinga Island Lodge for the night and dinner. Meal Plan: (B, L, D).
Day 6: Rusinga Island - Gwassi and Gembe Hills. Today we will leave early in the morning to explore the little known but very impressive Gwasi hills for a hike that will take us to their hidden treasures namely; the forest, caves waterfall and their admirable culture. We will later leave Gwasi hills and continue for another hill this time Gembe where we will drive all the way and walk to for 15 minutes to reach the peak where the unsurpassed 360 degrees view will be rewarding. We will then drive back to Rusinga Island Lodge for the night and dinner. Meal Plan: (B, L, D).
Day 7: Rusinga Island - Maasai Mara. After breakfast we will this morning leave the shores of Lake Victoria and drive through the beautiful countryside of Nyanza for the famous Maasai Mara. We will with a picnic lunch on our way. Our arrival in the Mara will be in good time for lunch. We will later venture out for the afternoon game drive in search of the game. We will drive back to Ashnil Mara Camp for dinner and the night.

Day 8: Maasai Mara Full Day. This morning we will have an early wake up call for breakfast. We will later go for a full day game drive in search of more wildlife and birds in the Mara. Our drive today will bring us more closely to the unknown lives of wildlife in the Maasai Mara. Again this exploration will lead us all the way to ‘the River of Life and Death', the Mara River, where we will see hippos and crocodiles basking lazily on the river banks. We will enjoy a picnic lunch will here while we enjoy the cool atmosphere of riverbanks. After lunch we will drive appreciating more wildlife and sceneries on our way back for dinner and the night at Ashnil Mara Camp. Meal Plan: (B, L, D).
Day 9: Maasai Mara - Nairobi. This morning we will have breakfast or for those who are considering doing a hot air balloon flight (Optional Extra – USD $ 475 per person) and this is to be followed by a visit to Maasai village (Optional Extra – USD $ 25 per person) for a cultural experience. From here we will now leave the Maasai Mara countryside and drive back to Nairobi arriving approx. 13:00. Drop at your hotel or transfer to the airport for onward flight home.
