Join us in the joyous fall harvest season as we explore medieval towns and traditional Hindu villages set in beautiful forested countryside, and some of India’s most ancient and wondrous extant temples and monuments; illustrated in virtually every book on Indian art and archaeology, they are seldom visited by tourists. In rural India we’ll watch groups of costumed dancers performing exuberant dances honoring the Hindu god Krishna and giving thanks for the harvest.
Airfare is included in the tour price.
The price of our Central India trip is $6300 per person based on double occupancy ($1000 single supplement) and includes:
- all accommodation (all rooms with attached bath),

- road travel by deluxe a/c cars,
- two short day journeys in a/c trains,

Varanasi Extension cost $1500 per person in double occupancy (add $300 for single supplement): 4 nights accommodation in Varanasi (a/c with attached bath) and one night at our Delhi hotel, meals (B, L, D), snacks, mineral water, entrance fees, travel by private a/c mini-coach and deluxe a/c SUVs, two short domestic flights, airport transfers.
