This safari involves a visit to the chimpanzees of Kibale and the Gorillas at Bwindi forest. Chimp trekking is an amazing experience but as you walk through the forest you may come across a variety of other Uganda forest life along the way. You can also trek Chimpanzees at Kyambura Gorge and on your way south, depending on your route, you have the opportunity to visit the tree climbing lions of Ishasha before arriving at Bwindi Impenetrable Forest where you track the endangered mountain gorilla! The Bwindi impenetrable forest in Uganda is a sanctuary for almost half the world's population of the rare Mountain Gorilla's (About 330 of 600), which is the rarest race of Gorilla. The park was established as a safe habitat for several families of mountain gorilla, it is now the location of a very important scientific conservation program. Tour Itinerary:

Day 1: Arrive at Entebbe Airport to be met by a Real Africa excursions representative. Who will take you to your hotel Kampala.
Our experienced guide takes you through the sights and sounds of this hilly city. Meet people renown for their friendliness and visit cultural sites. You can also use this time to change your money into shillings or Dollars if you want. The tour can include the Uganda museum, Kasubi tombs, Makerere University, Nakasero market, Craft markets, Namirembe and Rubaga Cathedrals, Kibuli mosque, Kabaka's lake and more and then return to your hotel Legend: (B, L, D)

Day 2: Drive to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, and spend the night at Mantana's luxury tented camp. Legend: (B, L, D)

Day 3: Spend a full day's gorilla trekking in Bwindi Gorilla park. Legend: (B, L, D)

Day 4: Spend a second day's gorilla trekking in Bwindi National Park. Legend: (B, L, D)

Day 5: Drive to Kibale National Park. This forest, with its 13 primate species (including abundant chimpanzee), is Uganda's newest national park and has been renowned for decades as a worldwide centre for serious primate research. Overnight at Mantana's luxury tented camp. Legend: (B, L, D)

Day 6: Today day you will go hiking and chimp trekking in Kibale forest. Legend: (B, L, D)

Day 7: Spend a second day observing primates in Kibale forest.

Day 8: Murchison falls is the biggest national park in Uganda with an area of 3840sqkm.The River Nile divides the park into North and South sectors and forms the impressive Murchison Falls where it flows over the western rift valley escarpment. Here the river is forced through a seven metre wide gap in the rocks and cascades down a steep 43-metre drop. Leave Kampala and travel through the Luwero triangle stopping over at Masindi hotel for lunch. Drive to the park via Budongo forest through the western arm of the Great East African Rift Valley in time to enjoy the spectacular falls where the Nile thunders and roars at the falls forming rainbow in a plume of the spray. You will have an evening game drive and then go to your lodge for Dinner and overnight. Legend: (B, L, D)

Day 9: After early breakfast, drive to the northern part of the park for a game drive. You will see Elephants, buffaloes, oribis, bushbucks, lion, and a variety of bird species. After lunch, go for a two-hour launch trip up to the bottom of the Murchison falls where appalling water squeezes through the narrow gorge. This gives you an opportunity to see Uganda's hippos, crocodiles, and waterbirds along the riverbanks. You then return to the lodge for dinner and overnight. Legend: (B, L, D)

Day 10: After breakfast, cross the river back via Budongo forest and have lunch in Masindi. You then drive back to Kampala at leisure arriving late in the evening. Legend: (B, L, D)

Day 11: Depending on the time of your flight, we shall conduct a Kampala city tour before your Airport transfer. You can go souvenir hunting, and get ready for the 40 minutes ride to Entebbe Airport, A Real Africa excursions company representative will see off. Legend: (B, L, D)

Day 12: Leave for your departure flight home.

Please Note: Gorilla permits are on high demand and must be applied for well in advance of your intended date of travel, as the first stage of your booking with Real Africa Excursions. The cost for the Gorilla permits varies, but should be in the range USD350 - USD400 per person.
