Tour Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Tana. Arrival at the airport welcome and transfer to the hotel Grégoire***. BB
Day 2: Flight to Maroantsetra. Drive by boat to Nosy Managabe. Nocturnal walking to see the Aye-aye. Accomodation in tent in full board.
Day 3: Nosy Mangabe. Walking in the National Park of Nosy Mangabe. Accomodation in tent in full board.
Day 4: In the morning, drive back to Maroantsetra. Free schedule. Hotel Relais Masoala. BB
Day 5: Transfer to the airport for the flight back to Tana. Hotel Grégoire***. BB
Day 6: Flight from Tana to Diégo. Today you fly to the northern part of Madagascar, to Antsiranana. Nowadays it is also common to call this place Diégo-Suarez, which was named after two Portuguese navigators who landed there in the 16th century. As soon as you arrive there, you have time to visit the town. The colonial style strongly characterizes the architecture of the town. Hotel Le Colbert***/ Panorama. BB
Day 7: Diégo - Montagne d’Ambre 34 km. Early in the morning. Excursion to the Drive to the National Park of Montagne d’Ambre. The luxurious vegetation of the rainforest waits for you there. You will pass by wonderful waterfalls (la Grande cascade, la Petite cascade) and can have a rest at the green lake. Your local guide will shwo you the place to see animals, such as the leaf tail geckos, mouse lemurs, Aye-Aye…Hotel Le Colbert***/ Panorama. BB
Day 8: Montagne d’Ambre - Ankarana 80km. You will leave the Park and go to the famous special Reserve of Ankarana. There you will spend two nights in tent. During the trekking you will be in the middle of the unique landscape of the Tsingys. Accommodation in tent in full board.
Day 9: Ankarana Reserve. Another day is necessary to fully discover the special world of Tsingys. Accommodation in tent in full board.
Day 10: Ankarana. Early in the morning drive to Ankify, drive by boat to Nosy Be. Hotel Chanty Beach. BB
Day 11-12: Nosy Be Free schedule. You have free schedules during your stay in Nosy Be. Excursions to the surrounding isles can be organized on the spot. You can find macaco lemurs on the isle Komba ("Nosy Komba").
"Nosy Tany kely" is the best place for nautical activities and the reserve of Lokobe is an ideal place to observe lots of lemurs, snakes, birds and other interesting animals easily. A day's excursion through the big Isle is also recommended: you drive to the sacred place, where people come and bring offerings to the ancestors on the foot of huge Banyan-trees.
You go to the old town afterwards and in the afternoon you can visit the Rum and Sugar factory. In the evening, you go up to the "Mont Passot" where you can have a fantastic view of the surrounding crater lakes. At the end you'll enjoy the fabulous sunset. Free schedule, Chanty Beach. BB
Day 13: Flight back to Tana. Hotel Grégoire***. BB
Day 14: Shopping at an artisans' market. Flight back to Europe.
