Tour Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Addis, transfer to hotel.
Day 2: After breakfast drive to Bahir Dar, en route visit Debre Libanos Monastery, glimpse to Blue Nile gorge, lunch at Debre Marquos, and overnight at Bahir Dar in a Tana hotel.
Day 3: After breakfast boat trip on Lake Tana to visit the thirteen monasteries. After lunch drive to visit the Blue Nile Falls (Tiss Abay water that smokes). Overnight in a Tana hotel at Bahir Dar.
Day 4: After breakfast drive to Gondar, visit the 17th c. castles compound, the swimming pool of King Fasil, the Churches of Debrebrihan Selassie and Qusquam. Overnight in a Goha hotel.
Day 5: After breakfast, drive via Debark to Chenek, Simen National Park, and picnic lunch on the way, proceed to Buahit, view Ras Dashen Mountain from distance, and drive back to Debark for overnight in a hotel.
Day 6: After breakfast drive to Axum through the Limalimo zigzag road, picnic lunch at Tekeze. Overnight at Axum, in a Yeha hotel.
Day 7: After breakfast visit the Church of St. Mary of Zion, the main stelae park, the ruin of the Edifices of King Caleb and Gebre Meskel, the swimming pool of the legendary Queen of Sheba and the archeological museum. Overnight in a hotel.
Day 8: After breakfast drive to Mekelle, en route visit Yeha temple of the moon, glimpse to Debre Damo monastery, Abrha we Atsbeha and Wukro Cherkos Monasteries. Overnight in a hotel.
Day 9: After breakfast, drive to Lalibela. Overnight in Roha hotel.
Day 10: After breakfast, visit the first group of the rock-hewn churches of Lalibela, after lunch visit the second group of the rock hewn churches. Overnight in Roha hotel.
Day 11: After breakfast drive to Dessie. En route, visit the monastery of Haik Istifanos. Overnight in a Hotel.
Day 12: After breakfast drive to Addis, en route visit Senbete market (if the day is on Sunday).
Day 13: City tour in Addis, i.e. Cathedral of Trinity, National Museum, Entoto St.Marry church museum and the view point to the city, and Mercato the largest open-air market in Africa.
