Angkor Wat is an incredible archaeological discovery which bears testimony to an amazing ancient empire in the 9-12th centuries, the Khmer Kingdom. The temples, cities and other amazing structures from this empire display massive architectural masterpieces and intricate, detailed stone carvings which chronicle the history of the empire on the walls of the main temple and capital city. The number and immensity of the sites requires a good deal of time to explore properly. We recommend a minimum of two days in Angkor Wat and you can easily spend from 3-5 days there. There are other sites to see in Cambodia as well (Siem Reap the city, the Great Lake, the river cruise, and Phnom Penh).
We are offering Angkor Wat - Cambodia tours either as an independent tour or in combination with other countries, such as Thailand, Vietnam, Laos and China. Either way, we can provide you with both the air ticketing as well as the land tours and hotels on any level to set up your tour to meet your interests and needs.
Tour Itinerary:
Day 1: Fly from Phnom Penh to Siem Reap. You can obtain your Cambodian visa at the Siem Reap airport (bring head shots). Your guide will then transfer you to your hotel. Then you will take a 3/4 day tour of Angkor Wat (Angkor Wat and Angkor Thom). Evening: Great Lake Sunset Cruise. Meals: (L).
Day 2: Angkor Wat tour (Ta Prohm and Bantay Srei). Evening option: Sunset view from mound of Phnom Bakeng). Meals: (B).
Day 3: Take the river cruise from Siem Reap to Phnom Penh. This is a 5-hour cruise on a fairly high-speed large motorized boat. The ship leaves early in the morning (about 7:30am) and arrives in Phnom Penh in the early afternoon.
