Kenya is a stride the equator, is bisected from North to South by the Great Rift Valley and covers an area of 582.644 sq. km. The superb beaches along the coastal area, the equatorial glaciers of Mount Kenya at an altitude of more than 4.573 meters. More so, the natural habitat inhabited by different types of animals both big and small, herbivorous and carnivores. All this combine to make a small world of Kenya with natural features of its own.
Tour Itinerary
Day 1: Arrive in Nairobi. Upon your arrival at the Nairobi Jomo Kenyatta international Airport, you meet the representative for the transfer to Nairobi Serena Hotel for dinner and overnight.
Day 2: Mount Kenya National Park. After breakfast depart from Nairobi via the Great North Road, through the famous Kenyan highlands onto Mount Kenya National Park. Arrive in time for lunch at the Serena Mountain Lodge, located at 2,194 meters on the slopes of Mount Kenya.
The Lodge is surrounded by a dense rain forest that comes alive at dusk with a myriad of sounds that make the African bush so special and exhilarating. Elephant, buffalo, rhino and waterbuck are regular visitors to the Lodge's waterhole. Dinner and overnight at the Serena Mountain Lodge.
Day 3: Mountain Lodge to Samburu. After breakfast drive north to Samburu Game Reserve. Arrive in time for lunch at the Samburu Serena Safari Lodge. In the afternoon go for game viewing drive in the Samburu game reserve, the Kenya's rugged, semi-arid part of the North Eastern province. Dinner and overnight at the Samburu Serena Safari Lodge.
Day 4: Samburu game reserve. After breakfast you spend the morning and afternoon for game viewing drive in the Samburu Game Reserve. The surrounding terrain is renowned for rare game, like long necked gerenuk, gravys zebra, reticulated giraffe and the Beisa Oryx. Leopard is a frequent passer-by.
Game drives and bird watching safaris are the ideal way to experience the native wildlife in its natural splendour. Dinner and overnight at the Samburu Serena Safari Lodge.
Day 5: Samburu to Nanyuki. After a cup of coffee early morning game viewing drive in the park returning to the lodge for breakfast. After breakfast drive south to Nanyuki to arrive in time for lunch at the Sweet Waters Tented Camp. After lunch continue on the afternoon game viewing drives in the sanctuary. Dinner and overnight at the Sweet Waters Tented Camp.
Day 6: Nanyuki to Lake Nakuru National Park. After breakfast depart with picnic lunch to Lake Nakuru National Park. This is famous for the great masses of Flamingos, the white and black rhinos and buffaloes. Arrive late afternoon at the Lake Nakuru Lodge to refresh. Afternoon game viewing drive in the park. Dinner and overnight at the Lake Nakuru Lodge.
Day 7: Lake Nakuru to Maasai Mara. After early breakfast depart for the Maasai Mara game reserve. Arrive for lunch at the Mara Serena Safari Lodge. Perched on the saddle of a hill, the Lodge has one of the most spectacular views imaginable across the vast plains, forests and rivers that make up the Maasai Mara, one of the Worlds Richest Wildlife sanctuaries. After lunch go for game viewing drives. Dinner and overnight at the Mara Serena Safari Lodge.
Day 8: Maasai Mara. After breakfast, full day at the Maasai Mara with morning and afternoon game viewing drives. Lunch at the lodge, followed by afternoon game viewing drives across the plains.
Vast herds of wildebeest and zebra wander across the Mara grasslands, their numbers increasing during the annual migration from the Serengeti national park. Lion, Leopard and Cheetah follow close behind while Crocodile and Hippo congregate in the Mara and Talek rivers. Dinner and overnight at the Mara Serena safari lodge.
Day 9: Maasai Mara to Nairobi onto departure. Breakfast at the Mara Serena Safari Lodge. After breakfast depart back to Nairobi arriving in the afternoon.
