This itinerary is designed for those who wish to mix exploring coastal nature with culture, history and art. Dubrovnik, one of world’s most beautiful old towns, offers centuries of beautiful culture, while the Elafiti shorelines offer great natural variety: cliffs, caves, pine and palm trees, hidden coves, reefs and sandy beaches.
This trip is perfect for families with children but also those who want to spend some more time exploring Dubrovnik town by night. No previous kayaking experience is necessary. Our base is Zaton Mali, a beautiful small bay about 8 km nortwest from Dubrovnik. In the time of the Dubrovnik Republic, aristocratics from the town had here their summer residences that still can be seen. Zaton has several well known restaurants, a nice promenade and a shingle beach between the places Zaton Mali and Zaton Veliki. ITINERARY Day 1: We transfer from Dubrovnik Airport or Dubrovnik town to Zaton Bay. At the evening we meet together and talk about the next days. Day 2: Kayaking introduction in the morning and first kayak tour after – about 2 hours through the bay – afternoon hiking above Zaton. Day 3: We leave in the morning, by car and ship from Dubrovnik, to the island of Sipan, a drive of about 1 hour. We will visit the colorful villages of Sudjuradj and Luka Sipanska on bikes. We will explore them by walking and bicycling, with some time to enjoy the two island bays. Lunch is offered on a tipical dalmatian farm with homemade ham and cheese. Day 4: Kayaking to the Lopud island and its famous large sandy beach called Sunj, hiking to the place Lopud. A diving mask, snorkel and fins will be provided for you to explore the rich and colorful underwater world of the Adriatic. Day 5: After 3 activ days, today You can relax in the bay, sleep as long as You want or have an extra daily tour with us. We are offering interessting full day excursions to Montenegro or Bosnia and Hercegovina by bus with possibility to have some more activities like canoeing, sailing or nordic walking trips. Day 6: It is time to visit the old town of Dubrovnik, the most beautiful of all Mediterranean towns, for sightseeing, shopping in ancient streets, walking along city walls… Gelato or coffee taste the best in open air bistros along Stradun, the old town’s main street and promenade. After an about 1 hour guided tour, You are free for the afternoon. Day 7: Paddling, swimming and snorkel around Kolocep Island, the most interesting for sea kayaking and hiking. You will surely be impressed by the dramatic scenery with hidden dark caves, high cliffs and colorful reefs. Walk through Gornje Celo and Donje Celo, well preserved romantic Mediterranean villages, and along high cliffs. After about 3 hours paddling, lunch will be organised in the bay Gornje Celo in a family run restaurant just by the sea. Day 8: Transfer to Dubrovnik for flight home or onward. Accommodation: We will stay in family houses offering nice rooms of 3 star category.
